Trout Cottage is a lovely stone-built cottage located in Somerton of beautiful Somerset. With one twin bedroom it can sleep two people comfortably with en-suite shower room. There is another shower room just off from the sitting room with electric fire and a kitchen with dining area. Outside is a gravelled patio with furniture and undercover parking. Trout Cottage is the ideal getaway for a couple who likes a lot of country walking.

The market town of Somerton, once the ancient capital of Wessex is just south of Glastonbury. The town centre offers visitors an array of local shops, banks, pubs and restaurants. Somerton provides a perfect base from which to explore Somerset, with the surrounding countryside, villages and country lanes with footpaths, ideal for walkers and cyclists. Glastonbury, Clarkes shopping village at Street, Wells Cathedral, Wookey Hole and Cheddar Gorge are all within an easy drive.

Note: Due to property location, wifi is suitable for browsing and not downloading, this is due to the internet being slow.

What a very friendly welcome we received after a long drive, the cottage exceeded expectations very comfortable and warm, and what a lovely welcome hamper we got even including treats for the dog.. Well located very peaceful comfortable great for dogs a long quiet lane outside the property very little traffic private and enclosed back garden.. We have been staying in cottages for over 20 years and this is one of the best the owners are on hand if needed but not intrusive. I would recommend this property without hesitation.

I know we all rely on Wi-Fi more than we should but it stated clearly that you could get it.. Unfortunately the signal from the house to the Barn was not strong enough to get a reliable / steady connection. Having the dog with us we needed to check out places before we set off to know if we could take her in or not. it's not a big deal but it could of saved us some wasted journeys & time if we could of known before hand. Also looking up the menu / opening times for meals at the local pub and other places of interest would of been a great help. Good central location so you could go off in any direction to find places to visit.
