The cottage was very well fitted out, with everything to self cater, even down to a pizza cutter.. Great care had been taken to help guests work the TV, Satellite tuner, DVD player, kitchen and bathroom equipment and the storage radiators. There were boxes of games, jigsaws, recent DVDs and some music CDs etc for relaxation. Pots of flowers welcomed us to the property and there was also a private garden area behind the property, though other than an initial exploration, it wasn't warm enough to enjoy that.
It was clear that the owner wanted everything to go well for the holiday, with information on local walks, maps and leaflets for sight-seeing. Port Isaac is a charming unspoilt fishing village, and much as I remember from my first visit 60 years ago, even with the 'Doc Martin' connection of recent years.
