A fantastic retreat for a long weekend away in Selsey, it is literally on the sea, idyllic setting, just a 30 metre or so walk out of the property, round the corner onto the beach, and accompanying nice playing field.
The Hideout is a lodge style outbuilding of a main house, perfect for a couple, and our two small canine friends. The bed was good, bathroom was a little small, shower was good but the sink was comically small with a tap protruding that didn't really allow for face washing! But that's a small price to pay.
Well appointed kitchen with fridge, microwave, kettle, hob, toaster perfect for snacks and breakfast.
The enclosed outdoor space is superb, a lovely suntrap, nice table and completely secure for dogs to wander and do their business.
Some beautiful seaside walks, parks, and things to explore are very nearby. Look for Julie's tiny cafe/takeaway for an excellent crab sandwich.
It is only a mile, 15-20 min walk, into the town of Selsey. We liked the Hopp Inn bar for local craft beers from Vibrant Forest and Harvey's, and Lal Bar for very good tapas style Mediterranean food, we also liked the New Magna Tandoori for a great Indian meal, with usual great service. The Crown was good for Sunday afternoon football, but looked like it may get very busy on a weekend evening.
