Stayed at this property in May after a long wait due to coronavirus restrictions. Upon arrival the place is extremely tricky to find unless you know your way around. Rang the owners to be greeted with sarcasm and unfriendly tone - after an already stressful journey this was disheartening. Upon arrival the other owner showed us to the property. In the description the hot tub is described to believe to be your own however this was shared which we thought was absolutely preposterous seeing as we are in the middle of a global pandemic. You have to book a time slot to use it - yes we know hot tubs are self cleaning however this did not make us feel comfortable as you had to trust the previous user to wipe it down. Once inside the property itself it had all of the utensils you need for a self catering stay. Upon first look it looked clean. Areas of the property could do with decoration. However wherever we looked there was dust everywhere. Dust was found in the carpet, in the tiles, under the sofa, the sofas did not look clean enough to relax on - we used our own towels to cover them to sit on. Tables were marked by scratches left by I assume animals that had been in the property. The garden is not dog friendly especially for dogs that struggle to toilet on gravel and concrete - if you have a dog that struggles with this be prepared to have them on a lead and walk them to the paddock. Upstairs the bedroom looks impressive, again on first look. However, when looking and living in this there is more dust where it has not been cleaned thoroughly. The bathroom has no roof so be prepared to hear whoever you are staying with do their business with no privacy! No cleaning products were left in the bathroom to clean it which is just appalling. During the day owners would go out and leave their dogs for hours barking - not great in the first instance but especially not great as the property is attached to their house! Again, something that is not made clear in this description. Be prepared to drive everywhere because there is nothing to do around the area - you are literally in the middle of nowhere. The beaches are lovely and there is lots to do with your dogs if you are prepared to drive! As far as the facilities for pets goes it is very dog friendly. With the bath taps outside and cleaning products/anti-allergy sprays within reach, this was definitely something that was well thought-out. Also the paddock area to walk dogs was okay for a short evening stroll. As you can probably tell from the previous points mentioned we are highly disappointed with our stay but wanted to show a true reflection of how this property is wrongly presented. Didn't feel like we had a relaxing break at all.

Really and truly dog friendly.. We were lucky that there was only one other dog staying so we practically had the grounds to ourselves. The hot tub was a lovely addition and even with Covid we were able to explore and visit many lovely places. Would go again and would recommend.

We are just back from a wonderful and relaxing week in The Dairy, and it was exactly what we needed! Karen was so welcoming and hospitable, and the house was just perfect for the two of us. Even with the other two accommodations occupied adjacent, we barely noticed anyone else was around. The house was adorable, especially the upstairs suite, and was clean, and the owners fully mindful of the covid advice, which was great. And the garden, surrounding field, and the ducks we’re a total pleasure. So many lovely places to visit in the vicinity and beyond and super cycle routes. Thank you very much, it was truly peaceful and a perfect week’s staycation!

We had a wonderful stay at the Dairy.. The property is lovely and decorated to a high standard, making you feel very much at home. Karen is a friendly and welcoming host and ensured we settled in. The hot tub is a fab addition, also being under cover means it can be enjoyed in all weathers. The shared gardens are beautifully kept and there is so much room that privacy is never an issue. Couple of very minor points; we had a couple of issues with intermittent wifi and the kitchen could do with some additional cooking utensils; serving dishes etc. We found plenty to do in the area and short drives away. We are already planning a return visit and may look at coming with other family members if we can book more than one property at once.

We had a lovely week in the dairy .. .The cottage was lovely and clean and had everything you needed we took our push bikes and did the peddars way and was lovely to get back and enjoy the hot tub .it was a shared hot tub but it was nt a problem just need to put your name on the board and what time you wanted to go in . It's a really good dog friendly place loads of room for them to run around and even have a tub with taps and shower head to hose the dogs down .I would recommend this cottage to my friends and family and even go back myself sometime

We stayed in the dairy.. .Bed could do with a deep clean as large amount of human and pet hair in the slats, bed and pillows too soft for me personally. There is lots of dust and cob webs, shower tray wasn't cleaned or bathroom floor needs good wash..however beautiful cottage, hot tub was great addition and the owner was very helpful and friendly! Enjoy our stay regualess, thank you!

Warm welcome from Karen.. Very comfy cottage in a lovely location. Heating system was excellent. The grounds were well maintained and the use of the paddock was great for our dogs. If you are looking for a totally dog friendly cottage then this is it. There is even a bath for the dogs with hot/cold water and towels provided. Would recommend this cottage .

Had such a great time at the Dairy, we were concerned about location but it was perfect. So much to do in the very local area and not too far from our Favourite Beach Brancaster. The cottage was perfect felt at home straight away and our hosts were very friendly, helpful and able to offer good advice on place to go. Have recommended to all our friends and family, have been coming to Norfolk for a few years and this was the best yet. Very dog friendly and the hot tub is a must after a day walking the dogs.

Firstly the owners were lovely, Karen is an excellent host and both friendly and helpful.. The cottage is very dog friendly and our dog loved the enclosed paddock which was reassuring for us. The cottage itself was perfect for our needs, we spent 3 nights there and would definitely stay again. It was warm and cosy with a comfortable bed. We visited the local pub in Saham Toney one night, good pub grub and our dog Monty was made a great fuss of. We didn't make use of the hot tub due to time restrictions but it looked fantastic, maybe next time!

Loved the area as close to local pub for reasonable meals and Watton for supermarket.. Close to Swaffham which is a lovely market town with a wide choice of shops and cafes. Spent 2 days walking at the Forestry Commission site at Lynford Hall which was beautiful and a dogs paradise. Will definitely revisit this area and stay at this cottage.

Everything about our holiday at The Dairy was brilliant, from the welcome to us and most importantly our dog, our hosts, the property, the gardens.. I cannot rate this high enough. We had a little "hiccup" with the electrics while we were there but this was dealt with in a very professional and timely manner. There is just nothing we could complain about and would most certainly stay there again.

WOW what a gem! I have absolutely no problem recommending The Dairy. Our week here was perfect in every way possible. Karen made us feel at home from the moment we met her and a very big thank you Karen for making our break just perfect. The Dairy is so cosy and comfortable. The lovely log fire. The amazing bedroom. It's four piece bathroom suite. The photos do not do it justice. I hope you will allow us to share your beautiful home again in the near future. Very best wishes, Andrew, Paul and Jack. X

We have had the most relaxing week ever. The cottage is so warm and welcoming in a way it was great that it was such a freak cold week. We explored the north Norfolk area which was new to us had pub lunches, returned mid afternoon and lit the log stove which was so cosy! The bed must be the most comfortable, large bed ever, I have never slept so well! Totally dog friendly, you can even leave them and go out. All in all do not want to leave, can't recommend highly enough.

May 2014
The Dairy was a cottage on the outskirts of a small village so had a real country atmosphere about it. The couple running this cottage were extremely pleasant and very welcoming while the cottage itself was wanting for nothing in comforts or amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our week's stay and would definitely recommend The Dairy to others.

The Dairy is everything one could want from a holiday. Outside the lounge is an enclosed patio which is an absolute sun trap, we ate all our meal here. The gardens and the paddock are super. There is a hot tub which although enclosed you are able to sit in, and watch the stars it is a great experience not to be missed. The owners are fantastic, and very caring about there guests.
