Brilliant stay, such a pretty part of Norfolk.. The cottage went above and beyond and we were so impressed. So so cosy and a lovely escape. Having some biscuits on arrival was a lovely touch. We loved seeing the chickens running around every day. Only thing we would say is the low ceiling as you go from the lounge to the kitchen, a sign would be helpful for us tall folk as we knocked our head a few times. Other than that, everything was just perfect!

It was a lovely touch to have a packet of luxury biscuits and milk in the cottage when we arrived.. There was a great array of cooking items, which we really hadn’t expected. The cottage is very rural and although we were next to the owner’s house, we get hassled. We would definitely use this cottage and Sykes Holidays again.

This is a delightful cottage in a quiet rural location providing an opportunity to get away from it all but with easy access to Norwich, Diss, the Broads, the coast and other Norfolk attractions.. There are excellent pubs/restaurants in the vicinity. The owners were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. It exceeded our expectations for a restful break.

The cottage is set in a lovely quiet peaceful setting.. The owners were very friendly and helpful and had left milk, biscuits and fresh flowers for our arrival, a lovely touch. We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage itself is very cozy. It was easy to reach places we wished to visit. This is the third holiday we have had using Sykes Cottages and would certainly use them again and recommend them.

We had a wonderful stay.. Other reviews mention that the kitchen is a bit dated, this may be true but the bed was extremely comfortable and the linen and towels were immaculate. Would love to stay again.

If there had been a photo of the kitchen facilities at this property I would not .... If there had been a photo of the kitchen facilities at this property I would not have booked it There were inadequate cooking utensils and some of them were dirty However all other areas were clean and the linen was of good quality Definately not for those who wish to cook their own food

The cottage was cosy and in a quiet, relaxing area. It was good to have a dedicated parking space just outside the door and this made loading and unloading the car so easy. The living room had comfortable seating, great after a long day out walking.

Idyllic conversion of a farm outbuilding in a beautiful quiet rural location. The cottage facilities were excellent. Within easy access of big villages like Harleston, Long Stratton and Diss town. It was great we could bring our dog with us. This was one of the best rentals we have ever experienced both home and abroad.

We were able to take our dog with us and enjoy the local countryside which is right on the doorstep and enjoy the superb peace and quiet. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. We had a lovely relaxing week and would return at the blink of an eye.

We received a very warm welcome and appreciated the seasonal touches that the owners had made at Christmas time. Although the cottage was situated close to the owners house, this did not in any way feel intrusive. We knew that the accommodation was compact but it was cosy warm and well appointed and we had a very enjoyable stay.

July 2013
The cottage was beautifully presented and we were made very welcome with a supply of milk in the fridge and some homemade scones, jam and clotted cream which were delicious! We found the cottage to be an ideal base to visit places of interest in both Norfolk and Suffolk which we exploited to the full, returning to the peaceful rural scenes of ducks and ducklings on the pond and chickens, pheasants and hares in the garden.

The welcome by the owners was exceptional and the peace and quiet was great. The ordnance survey maps with the information was very helpful. It was the most comfortable bed we have ever had in a rented property. Overall a very good rental and we will visit again.
