Holiday home The Bolthole is a pet-friendly cottage and is an ideal base for a couple, sleeping up to two adults and one child under two in a cot.
The Bolthole is a conversion of a farm building into a one bedroom self-catering cottage, located in the centre of picturesque Crantock village, on the North Coast of Cornwall, a short walk to Crantock beach and the sea. This self-catering cottage by the sea, is within the curtilage of The Orchard but has its own entrance, parking and outside space where one car can be parked.
This cottage is all on one level with an en-suite bathroom, making it ideal for those who prefer not to go upstairs. It has recently been renovated and is presented in a contemporary style.
The Bolthole will appeal to those who enjoy being able to walk to the beach and the pub, yet be a short drive from all of Cornwall's sporting and other attractions. The Bolthole is close to the South West Coastal Path, and is an ideal base for those who like to walk a bit further than to the beach and pub. Crantock Beach is dog-friendly all-year-round.
Five minutes' walk away is Crantock's sandy beach, which is suitable for families and surfers alike. Two minutes' walk away are two pubs, a Londis grocery store, post office, art gallery and the church of St Carantoc.
The front door opens into the light and airy kitchen/living room, which is furnished with a very comfortable sofa and an ottoman, dining table & chairs for two, flat screen TV, DVD & HiFi. The kitchen is fitted with stainless steel appliances and comes complete with an electric hob, double fitted oven, fridge (with ice box) and washing machine.
A door leads to the bedroom with its super king-sized bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers, there is also room for a cot.
The gorgeous en-suite bathroom has tiled floor and walls, a double-ended bath and a separate, generously sized shower cubicle.
Outside there is a private, enclosed seating area ideal for outside dining or just sitting and relaxing.
Accomodation Details All ground floor. One bedroom: 1 x super king size double (zip/link twin on request) with en suite bath, separate shower, basin and WC. Open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove.
Area Crantock is a small Cornish village set back from the coast close to the popular resort of Newquay. If you want to escape the crowds, yet still be close to the action, this is the place to be. There's stunning countryside all around and lots of pretty villages to explore; however, it is the coast that dominates. Enjoy superb walks along the coastal path over dramatic cliff-tops, or magnificent surfing on beaches stretching from Watergate Bay in the north to Fistral beach in the centre of Newquay and on down the coast. There are a number of golf courses in the area, National Trust properties, traditional pubs and outstanding restaurants. Newquay itself is a visitor's paradise with a wide variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as attractions such as the Sea Life Centre, Newquay Zoo and nearby Dairyland and Eden Project.
Region Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.

Another wonderful holiday in Cornwall great cottage however this time we had real trouble receiving a TV signal in the middle of winter you expect to spend more time in your holiday home and to struggle with the TV was disappointing and it is such a simple fix for a cottage if this standard..

We think it would be a good idea to incorporate a hit tub in the courtyard as .... We think it would be a good idea to incorporate a hit tub in the courtyard as you do not get a lit of sun in it to sunbath

Perfectly designed for 2.. Right in the centre of the village but with a small private garden where you can always catch some sun (or shade). Well equipped and very clean (property accepts dogs - but not a dog hair to be found). Off road parking is a real bonus in Crantock - I would recommend this property and would certainly return again.
