Booked in Aug 22 but misleading photographs were on this site and many others. The front garden no longer exits and grounds cut in half. The living room and main bedroom view is no longer a garden but an immediate fence with little light. The land has been sold to build a new bungalow directly outside front of this propety. Photos have been updated now but please be aware they show the SIDE of the property. No peace due to building work 8-5, they have roof slats on but plenty more to do. No privacy for hotub because of this with workmen on roof etc. Anyone who has booked this property before 6 Sep 22 when photos changed are ikely to be disappointed like we were. Sofa needs replacing as stained and nothing left in cushions. Clean but tired. Guttering by front porch and by bedroom window pours out with water when it rains which is noisy. Grounds are very scruffy and garage area untidy. Pots and plants overgrown and neglected. Main gate lock needs fixing. We were welcomed by an array of empty bins at the end of drive, 5 in total.so not put away in a while. Beds are comfy, heating good and welcome pack was nice but didn't offset our disappointment or feeling of being mislead with this property. We should have been told in writing of the changes and not left to find out on arrival. This includes the new bathroom which has replaced a large walk in shower. People with mobility issues should be aware there is no handrail so will likely need assistance.

Just got back home after spending the week here. Absolutely fabulous bungalow with everything you could ever need. Extremely well equipped, beds were really comfy and location is amazing. The property was spotless on arrival and the hot tub was ready for use. Thank you for a fabulous week.

Excellent location as a base to explore the Jurrasic coastline, cottage is in a beautiful village with lots of walks literally right outside the property.. Local pub serves great food and Dorchester is only ten minutes away....perfect!

Accuracy of listing - garden wasn't entirely dog friendly as the chicken wire attached to the bottom of the main gate was fixed only along its top and side edges - the bottom of the wire could be pushed through, as our dog tried to do.. Had to place a piece of wood along the bottom of the gate to block this off for the duration of our visit. Cleanliness - generally ok but some utensils had food residue on them and there was a noticeable amount of black dog [?] hair under the main double bed [hoovered up by us on departure] Facilities - real problems with the hot water throughout the week. The boiler rarely fired up for that [although the central heating was ok] and getting hot water from the taps was a bit of a lottery. Showering was very difficult [as noted by a guest in 2018 per the visitors' book]. Pressure to the system was ok so suggests the boiler needs a service? The double bed could do with a tightening up! On a general note we were surprised there was no food waste recycling facility and no guidance on recycling generally [we had to look up on the Dorset Council website what the local recycling arrangements were]. Other than that we had a very enjoyable stay. Loved the hot tub!

We rented this wonderful cottage for family from France, who were visiting for our wedding.. On arrival, the house was immaculate and the vendor had left welcome gifts, which were gratefully appreciated - thank you. A wonderful rental and we shall certainly use it again.

Lovely warm cottage during a snowy freezing week.. Hot tub was a treat even with the freezing temperatures. The garden was so peaceful with views over farmland and we even had several gorgeous sunrises.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Sunny Croft.. The cottage was clean and warm and very welcoming on our arrival …. milk, wine, decorations, Christmas tree, crackers, biscuits, chocolates, decorations etc were a lovely surprise. We were out every day exploring the local area, which was new to us, and the cottage was a lovely place to come back to at the end of each day.

We stayed at Sunny Croft for Christmas and was pleased to find it decorated with Christmas tree, lights and other ornaments.. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise and had festive treats such as mince pies and bubbly, plus something for Molly, our Border Terrier. Thank you, a very nice touch. The bungalow is very well equipped, we had everything we needed to cook our Christmas dinner and beyond. It's warm, clean and comfortable and made an excellent base to spend Christmas week. We didn't venture far afield, spending the week relaxing and watching TV although we did get out and about locally enjoying the various footpath and bridleway walks in and around Broadmayne. Sunny Croft is one of our top ten places we've visited and can recommend it. Broadmayne has a well stocked and busy shop as well as an excellent pub that serves wonderful ales. We also recommend eating there at least once, the food and service is quite exceptional.

Enjoyed our week break and found the hot tub to be a very relaxing feature.. The location of the bungalow was excellent for day trips to Dorset sightseeing attractions. The holiday was very good value for money.

A fantastic cosy, comfortable and well equipped bungalow and contrary to a previous review was spotlessly clean when we arrived.. Even had some lovely little goodies such as bread, biscuits and a bottle of ale waiting for us! We had a wonderful week in this lovely part of the country, lots to see and do and our pooch had an amazing time too. Will definitely be booking with Sykes again, highly recommend.

Best bits. The garden and the hot tub.. The garden was really secure for our dog. The house is ok but it’s showing signs of age, it had been cleaned well and the garden had even been cut on arrival. I wouldn’t stay there again however as it’s just needing a refurb.

Set in a wonderful location and the garden was lovely.. It was good to know we could relax knowing our dog was safe to run free. The hot tub and garden made this property. A few days into our stay we had concern regarding the colour of water in the hot tub, we contacted the owner and she came immediately to resolve. Inside the property, well this was disappointing. On arrival all the windows had been opened, it soon became apparent why, the fusty smell was awful. Despite having the windows open daily the smell never went. The first thing we did when we arrived was clean... cobwebs high and low and more spiders than I care to remember. Overall the property needs some modernisation and at the very least a properly fitted loft hatch, and boarding to seal the internal cupboard and fireplace in the dining room.

The bungalow and garden are both spacious and tranquil, in a lovely village.. The hot tub was most welcome. Although the garden chairs and table were good it would have been better to have some loungers for relaxing in the garden.
