A wonderful property, the pictures don't do it justice.. The views are wonderful, the house itself has all the comforts and facilities you'd need, from a good kitchen, decent bbq, plenty outdoor furniture. If you like walking, plenty of good walks from the house or nearby, very handy for nearby towns and villages in the dales. Easy to get to and the owners are very friendly and helpful. We would not hesitate to recommend Street Head and the surrounding area.

The track down to Street Head Farm was a little longer and rougher than I had anticipated.. Otherwise it was a great secluded location with wonderful views and the cottage was very comfortable for 6 adults and 3 children.

Lovely cottage.. Near Yorkshire Dales, great walks! In the middle of quiet country-side, perfect for stressed city-folk

We spent a wonderful, relaxing week at Street Head Farm.. It’s a real ‘home from home’ - spotlessly clean, very comfortable and extremely well equipped. The weather was very kind to us, so it was morning coffee at the front, taking in the marvellous views, and evening BBQ’s at the back, soaking in the sunshine. Our two boisterous little dogs loved the freedom to run through the fields at the front of the farm. The homemade cake and marmalade was delicious and the fresh milk a real treat - wonderful in coffee.

From the start of our journey to Street head we have nothing but praise for the whole holiday.. Perfect location, not to remote, with a magnificent view. Our hosts were extremely welcoming, with home produced milk, eggs, cake, marmalade, flowers, logs and kindling on arrival. The house is equipped with everything you need for a family/ group gathering. The surrounding countryside, villages and towns provide numerous activities for all. One obvious cautious note would be to novice cyclists, there are plenty of hills. Also the track down to the farm, although easily accessible to standard family vehicles,I believe lower/sporting type cars need extra caution. We all ( 16 in total for the week) thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the near future.

March 2018
There were 3 generations of the family staying on the holiday, with ages ranging from 65 down to 2.. We all had an amazing week. The children particularly enjoyed seeing calves and 24 hour old lambs close up. We had snow on Easter Monday and again the children loved sledging down the slopes. The cottage provided lots of toys, games and videos to occupy children of all ages. The owners made us feel very welcome, providing us with fresh milk, home made fruit cake and home made marmalade. Couldn't have asked for better/

Booked this property for a family get-together. So glad we did. This place is fantastic. Lovely accommodation, full of character and charm. The location can not be beaten - not enough superlatives to describe the views that wrap around this cottage. Loved having the neighbouring cows and being able to just open the front door and let our two dogs run out, with brilliant walks on the doorstep. The owners are really lovely - supplying us with fresh cake and fresh milk along with logs and kindling for the powerful wood burner in the living room. We loved staying here - really comfortable accommodation and homely too. Will definitely be staying here again - and the sooner the better.

February 2018
The cottage was exceptionally well equipped and beautifully decorated - a real home from home.. The best thing though were the extra touches provided by the owners including home made marmalade and cake on arrival, prosecco as a Christmas gift and milk fresh from their dairy herd on request - along with a tow when we got stuck in by snow on our final morning.
Mrs Mikkelsen Edwards
November 2017
We had an amazing couple of nights away with my family who were visiting from Canada and who had never been to the Dales.. Really lovely, and welcoming hosts who were so helpful and gave us lots of local information. A lovely weekend was had by all. We will defiantly be back. Thank you.

Had a wonderful weekend.. Cottage is one of the best we've stopped in, lovely location, plenty of room, comfy beds everything you need. The only little niggle was the cooker which wasn't really up to cateing for 10 adults - but we didn't starve! Would highly recommend.

The location of this farm house is about two miles from Skelton, very easy to find and even easier to get into Skipton for amenities such as Supermarkets, Chinese, Indian and Chip Shop. Centrally located for easy visits to Scar Caves, Ingelton Walks, York, Forbidden Corner, Leeds, and a number of other tourist attractions. Cottage is beautiful, five bedrooms, three toilets, large kitchen , two sitting rooms and wonderful views all around hosts Julie and James Gooch are pleasant down to earth persons and very approachable. If you are really looking for a nice cozy, comfortable, affordable holiday you will not go wrong by visiting Street Head Farm, do not hesitate to contact myself for further information about this property.

This wasn't our first stay at Street Head Farm cottage and it hopefully won't be our last. The owners are friendly and welcoming and we were greeted with homemade fruit loaf and homemade marmalade both of which were superb as well as milk, teabags etc. The cottage is charming with wonderful views and everything you need is provided including a laundry room, a cosy lounge with a log burning stove and large family kitchen / dining room. There is also a further small lounge with its own tv. The cottage is tastefully decorated with a very comfortable, homely feel. It is ideal for dogs and there are many walks available from the doorstep. It really does offer a perfect "get away from it all" being quite isolated and quiet although the busy town of Skipton is only 10 minutes away by car, providing everything you could need. We had a fantastic time and can't wait to return!

September 2010
This was the third or fourth cottage booked through Sykes and came up to the previous high standards. Very good sleeping arrangements and well laid out living spaces. Only slight grumble was the lack of a "proper" garden for the kids to run riot in. Maybe a climbing frame or equivalent in one of the nearby spaces would work really well. Cottage is very well located for walks, towns for provisions, sightseeing etc. Almost too much to do in week - we'll have to go back again!

September 2010
The cottage was fantastic and the welcome we received on arrival was absolutely spot on - informative but not intrusive. Every comfort was provided, and the welcoming home made cake was delicious! I visit Yorkshire two or three times a year and sharing my enjoyment of the area with close friends was made all the more enjoyable by our excellent accomodation. After many years of camping together, we now rest our older bones in greater comfort and Streethead Farm provided the perfect opportunity. Thank you!
