There are plenty of charming villages to visit, including Frigiliana, with its mosaiced streets and 16th-century buildings. Adventurous types can hit the hiking trails to explore the magnificent scenery – the nearby Alhama Natural Park is breathtaking. And, if you fancy a day trip, you can drive to the bustling coastal city of Malaga in roughly an hour for a day at the beach.
