A communicative and informative booking process.. The owners, and housekeeper who is available by telephone, are super friendly and helpful. Our 3rd Seagulls Perch holiday, all consistently excellent. Clean, roomy, modern and cosy with all we need within. Well situated with the finest view and access to the beach and coastal path. Quiet location but with good amenities locally and more distant. Thank you to all involved in making Seagulls Perch such a fantastic experience.

We (2 adults, 2 kids, aged 12 and 9) have just returned from a week at Seagull's Perch, and it was fantastic! The house is very spacious, with a lovely (well equipped) kitchen and dining room as you come in. The lounge is also really nice, with very comfy sofa and chairs, and of course, the STUNNING views. We have visited Mawgan Porth every year for the last ten, but this was our first time having the views, which we just couldn't get enough of. Downstairs to the 2 bedrooms, both en-suite, and both of which were also very spacious. Our room also had the views; lovely waking up to the sea in a morning! We met the owner, Brian, on the first day - a lovely guy and very willing to offer help and information, but we were left to it for the remainder of the holiday; a great approach. The house sits at the top of the hill, meaning the walk back is a little challenging on the legs, but well worth it. Mawgan has so much to offer - from the hotel on the doorstep (nice, but pricey for drinks, even by Cornish standards!), the Merrymoor, Pizzas and other takeaways at the bottom of the hill, The Kitchen by the Beach @ The Park, and not forgetting the fantastic Scott and Babs, just a walk through the woods. A great base for walks and exploring Cornwall. We also hit very lucky with some great October sunshine. Overall, a wonderful week, in a great property!

Our holiday exceeded our expectations, the house was just lovely, very clean, all the facilities you could wish for, addicting sea views, close to the hotel for ocassional breakfast, lunch or dinner.. The only area that needs to improve on is that I did not originally receive any information about access, keys etc. frim Sykes Cottages and I had to contact them week before the holiday. The email from booking.com said I would receive this email once the second part of the deposit is taken which did not happen. However, once I contacted Sykes Cottages, the issue was resolved promptly.

This may seem to be a small issue.. But it would have been nice to have been welcomes by the owner(s at some point during our visit). As it was, the only personal contact we had was on the morning we left and returned the key to the security box outside the owners residence which is next door to where we had stayed. However, overall we were pleased with our stay at 'Seagulls Perch'.

The location is excellent with wonderful views out to sea and over part of the beach.. The listing gave an accurate description of the property and area and the facilities were clean and tidy. We especially enjoyed the lounge for relaxing and the patio with table and chairs outside the master bedroom. This was a great place to stay. To improve our experience I would recommend that the owners consider changing the mattress in the front bedroom as one side has a large dip which, when laid on, causes the person to roll into the centre of bed. The double bed in the back bedroom is very firm but rather low and could benefit from an additional mattress raising height and providing extra comfort.

Owners are extremely helpful, welcoming, and obliging with useful information of the area.. The house itself is kept very nice and is in a stunning location (cream tea on arrival was delicious). Just a shame about the no dog policy.

A wok and new baking trays plus a metal spatular would be useful..

The owner, Brian couldn't have been more helpful.. We had a lovely time. Seagulls Perch made a perfect base for walking this years section of the South West Coastal Path.

This is our second stay in the holiday accommodation and it was equally as good as the first. Very well kept property with all amenities provided. Cream tea on arrival which is a nice touch. The owners who live next door are so very friendly and happy to recommend places to go and give a view on the weather and suggest alternative locations for the day if things are not looking so good in the bay. Not found anything 'missing' in terms of equipment, in fact in comparison to some places we have stayed there are many unexpected extras provided. We would certainly recommend Seagulls Perch to anyone if they want first class accommodation with wonderful views.
