Absolutely stunning place. Only downside was having to leave at the end of our holiday. Would highly recommend and hope to visit again.

WOW what a place , we really enjoyed TIGH AN TEARLACH .. As someone who had to shield i was worried about the cleaning . The place was so clean when you entered you could tell the owners cared about the cleaning . We had amazing weather for the time of year and loved sitting and relaxing outside in the lovely garden and watching the wildlife . The location is brilliant , our dog enjoyed the walks we had every day . You can find many walks on your doorstep truly amazing walks . The cottage is very well equipped , the wood burner heats the living room very well . Nice spacious kitchen , good bathrooms , Look out for the many birds and squirrels eating from the birdfeeder from the kitchen window . We loved this cottage so much we are looking to go back there . Lots to do in the surrounding area and its so beautiful . If you go to the Old Post office for a lovely coffee it gets very busy so be prepared to wait a while . Had a fantastic time , we really did not want to come home . Brett , Caroline and Ty ( the dog )

This was our first time holidaying in the Cairngorms and we were not disappointed.. Such a beautiful cottage in a perfect location, so many things to see and do in the immediate area. The wildlife was abundant, not a day went bye without sighting something amazing, our favourite spot was a badger just up the road. We will definitely be returning.

This Cottage sits in a wonderfully secluded spot on the River Feshie. It is well appointed and comfortable. Spotlessly clean and a pleasure to spend time in. My 2 teenage boys were relieved to find it had good WiFi and freeview on the tv. The parents were delighted to see deer, red squirrels and a buzzard simply by sitting on the sofa. The wild swimming in the river Feshie was amazing - we went pretty much every evening and were gobsmacked to see enthusiasm from our surly teenagers as they outdid each other jumping from higher and higher rocks. All in all a well appointed, spotless and comfortable cottage in a gorgeous location! Easy to get to Aviemore and Kingussie and a footpath takes you to Kincraig and the fab old post office cafe.

The cottage was spacious and more than met the needs of our family of four (including two young children.. ) It is situated in an incredible location providing the peace and tranquility of the surrounding woodlands whilst being in easy reach of the wider areas main attractions, such as the Highland Wildlife Park and the Cairngorms Ski Resort. We really couldn't have asked for more.

This bungalow ticked every box for us.. The location is fantastic with extensive walking in pretty much any direction. The bungalow itself exceeded expectations. We literally only needed to take our clothes.. everything was provided! This was a fantastic base from which to launch our first visit to Scotland and would certainly recommend to others and will return ourselves.

Lovely cottage in a great location, the cottage was very spacious and immaculately clean, comfortable furniture and not one but three TV's We had hares in the garden every morning/evening and so many different birds on feeders. The surrounding area is gorgeous and has so many fantastic walks, we and the dogs really enjoyed the forest walks every day, we would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for total peace and quiet but also not too far away from a town (Aviemore only 6 miles away)

A wonderfully cosy home with excellent facilities and in such a peaceful setting.. Stayed here twice so far and can't wait to return. There are plenty of walks right on your doorstep and Aviemore is a short drive away if you need to stock up on supplies.

The owner was very kind: she helped us to find the cottage, had already prepared the fireplace ready to lit when we arrived in cold rainy weather, and even had provided some treats for our dog.. The place is ideally situated for hiking as you can start just from the cottage, or drive only a few minutes to other paths starting points. When returning we enjoyed the cosy rooms or went to the river which is really nice.

Many properties say that pets are permitted or allowed but at Tigh an Tearlach they are really welcome.. Caroline, the friendly owner had provided bowls, beds and treats for our two dogs - which was just so thoughtful. This was our third visit to this property, with great facilities and a wonderful woodburning stove, this is a perfect place for a winter break in this part of Scotland.

Cottage excellent in many many ways, the grounds and area around cottage excellent.. The only moan we had was the settees in the lounge very uncomfortable and harsh to sit on.Beds excellent and gave a great nights sleep.Did not want for anything at the property thanks so much for a lovely stay.

We had a fantastic break at this lovely isolated cottage in a beautiful situation..

The cottage is wonderfully remote but finding it was not helped by the property directions which begin ‘From the A9 turn off into the village of Kincraig.. ..’ The A9 is a busy dual carriageway at his point so if arriving from the South vehicles need to leave just after Kingussie turning onto the B9152 which runs parallel with the A9 and Kincraig is on this road. Tigh An Tearlach is a surprisingly spacious bungalow. It was warm and comfortable and over the week we came to love the place. One downside was that the bath taps didn’t function but we noticed a spare in the utility room so this is clearly in hand. The shower worked well. The river Feshie is 5 minutes walk away and there are many signed woodland walks within a few miles. Native wildlife abounds and the Highland Wildlife park is only 10-15 minutes away by car, making an annual pass very good value, particularly as it also allows unlimited visits to Edinburgh and a number of other Zoos around the UK. We missed the crowds by having 3 early morning visits and had wonderful quiet views of the animals including, of course, Hamish, the young Polar Bear!

Idyllic location.. So peaceful and stunning scenic routes around for walks. Within easy reach of lots of attractions. Cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. Even went so far as to have separate fridge for dog food, spare dog bowls and left a dog treat out.

The location was perfect for us and the dogs, lovely local walks in the forest.. Chilled evening sat outside. Just a wonderful peaceful holiday . The only negative side , and it is nit picking and wasn't important. A radio for some music in the kitchen. And no hot water early morning, we get up at 6 and there was no hot water until later. Does the timer need advancing. ?

We go away at this time each year to a secluded location to escape the noise of fireworks. Although not secluded, there are just a few properties close by and it was very peaceful. The property is accessed via a private road and sits alone on a plot of land in a valley that overlooks fields to the front. The cottage is well appointed with a large lounge & dining area with two comfy sofas. There is a good sized TV in the lounge & in both bedrooms with Free-Sat channels. Reception can sometimes be a problem in bad weather. There is also a DVD player & selection of DVD's. The kitchen has an oven & electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and is very spacious. There is a utility room next to the kitchen with a washing machine & dryer plus another small freezer & fridge. The main bedroom has a large double bed and overlooks the open aspect while the second bedroom has two signals with a modern en-suite shower. There is a separate bathroom without a shower. The cottage is heated with night storage heaters & a wood burning stove. A little info about how the storage heaters work would be helpful if like us, you are not familiar with them. There are some great walks in the area & some great drives.Make sure that you have everything that you need as the nearest shop is in Aviemore which is about 20 minutes away, There is a small Tesco in Aviemore and many independent shops. It is pet friendly & a great place for dogs. Sadly, the previous visitors allowed their dogs to foul in the garden & didn't pick it up, I'm not sure how many dogs they had but I picked up 16 bags of poop! That was the only negative though & the owners are very helpful & attentive. We would definitely return...

This is a great cottage, the pictures don't do it justice.. It's in the middle of forest surrounded by mountains with a stream at the side of the property and a river at the bottom of the garden. Fantastic place to take your dog, we had a great time and would definitely consider going again. The log burner keeps the whole house cosy which was a definite plus as it snowed a lot whilst we were there. The track leading down to the house was a bit tricky in the snow and ice but perfectly fine as I had snow tyres on the car. Great cottage.

Tigh An Tearlach was a wonderful cottage in a picturesque setting. Very well equipped and larger than expected. The wifi was fantastic infact we had most creature comforts along with a lovely wood burning stove. Although the cottage feels remote you are within a short drive of shops and so many attractions. Our 7 year old son loved every minute of it.

We had a great holiday at Tigh an Tearlach. The cottage was warm and cosy with a wood-burning stove and comfy seating. It was very well maintained throughout and had great views from the sitting room and double bedroom. The WiFi worked well. The owner was really helpful (especially when we left some of our stuff behind!).
