This is an absolutely beautiful cottage in a great location. It is really comprehensively kitted out to an excellent standard, and everything in it is absolutely immaculate. There is lots to do in the area for all ages, and there are plenty of pubs and tea shops for when the legs need a rest from the fantastic walks. We're very happy to recommend and definitely hope to return.

Well what can I say.. ....? This place is a hidden gem. You have to go to appreciate it. As soon as we entered the door we felt at home. Cosy, warm, quirky little house!!! I say little but really quite spacious for 5 people. We’ve been staying in cottages around the dales for over 10 years but this cottage stole the show!! Just book it! You’ll love everything about it. Perfect location, amazing owner ! This place will take a lot of beating. Love you Sandy Cottage..... see you again x

Lovely cottage in a beautiful setting.. .. only thins I’d say is that friends hired a nearby cottage for the weekend and they had some very useful books in local walks and an IS map of the area - would have been very useful!

Lovely, relaxing stay in this comfortable, beautifully clean and well equipped cottage, which had everything we needed for a perfect holiday.. Wonderful location in idyllic village, with great walks in the breath-taking Yorkshire Dales from the door and a gastro pub just a few steps away. Sunny weather meant we enjoyed sitting out in the lovely patio garden most days. A week wasn't long enough! We'll definitely be returning. Thank you.

If you get the chance to book this cottage - do it! It's THE perfect place to base your Dales holiday. So much to do in the area. We have 2 active boys age 10 & 12 who were occupied making friends on the green playing ball games. The cottage has everything you need, including a super useful tumble dryer for when you come back damp from the inevitable Yorkshire downpours. Kitchen is small but adequate for home cooking. The pub next door but one is a real selling point. Fab food , lovely decor & take away chips! Highlight for us was family trout fishing at Kilnsey Park. The Kids caught 5 fish themselves which we brought home & barbecued in the garden! Yum. Hope to return to this lovely cottage & area again.

Everything about Sandy Cottage is just perfect for our needs, the location, size and style. Additionally it is furnished in a very eclectic and stylish way that really suits us as a family, it felt like home the moment we walked through the door. Every need is met, everything was of good quality and in perfect condition, we have stayed in many cottages in this area over the years and this is now our favourite, it was hard to leave.

On entering Sandy Cottage the smell of clean fresh linen was wonderful. The cottage was spacious, exceptionally clean and very well equipped. An excellent location. I would say the best cottage we have stayed in in the UK. We enjoyed the scenery and fly fishing on the river Wharfe.

An excellent location in a beautiful setting. There are many walks from the cottage, we especially loved the one down to Linton Falls and carrying onto Grassington. It is also central to many other Dales destinations. Highly recommended.

Back again for another visit. Love this village as it has family connections - sadly no members of the family live in the village now. The weather, for once, was amazing - used a cardigan once! Green very busy but it added to the atmosphere and calmed down mid week. Ducks and Geese fab - got attached to the Mum with 13 gooslings - so fascinating to watch. Friends joined me for 5 nights - they found the stairs very steep - just to be aware - it is an old cottage and to be expected. Kitchen well appointed and good to have the extra loo downstairs. The towel provision is still poor - one small bath towel per person - still not acceptable for a weeks stay - just where are the hand towels. And no hairdryer! As previous reviewer patio area small but not looked after. As the weather was lovely spent considerable time cleaning the patio table which was particularly dirty with ingrained dirt. Plants need trimming back and tidying too. Please please put a mirror between the door and wardrobe in the twin room - impossible to dry hair and look in the mirror on wardrobe door without bending down - not a comfortable experience. A very low cost mirror would change all this. Having said this - will be booking again as absolutely love the location and it is a lovely cottage. Just find the above niggles annoying as so easily rectified. Food - Fountain very very convenient and good food. Lovely walk to Grassington over Linton Falls. We had one good meal at Devonshire Arms - and one not so good - we did choose the early menu for both meals - the main menu looked good. Not sure what happened on our second visit.

A very well presented cottage in a superb location but bath towels are tiny; agree other suggestions that you take your own bath sheets. The stair is steep, not a negative but something to be aware of. A dog friendly pub/restaurant is just yards away, busy but welcoming with good food. The village green with its resident ducks (and weekender children) is very picturesque. Another dog friendly pub, the Old Hall, serving lovely food is an easy 15 minute walk across the fields at Threshfield. Nearby Percevall Hall Garden is also to be recommended. After a week we left feeling we had only scratched the surface of what the area has to offer. A return visit to Wharefdale is a must and Sandy Cottage in Linton is ideally located and we will not hesitate to book again. Our only small gripe was that the very small patio area had not been cleaned in months; we had wonderful weather during our stay and thought it reasonable to have expected the outdoor area to have been up to scrach in June particularly as there was no yard brush for us to tidy up the patio ourselves. Overall though, a well equipped, comfortable cottage, finished to a high standard, good value for money in a beautiful part of the country,

Absolutely perfect cottage in a perfect location, wonderful. We couldn't have wished for anything better, shame we couldn't have stayed longer but can't wait to go back and would definitely recommend to our friends and family. Fantastic walks on your doorstep, lovely Pub/Restaurant 2 doors down. Oozed character and charm, just perfect.

I think that this was one of the most comfortable cottages that we have had the pleasure in staying at. Situated adjacent to a great pub and in easy stride of some beautiful walks. The accommodation was extremely well appointed and we found ourselves wanting for nothing. Would highly recommend this to anyone.

The location of the property is superb. The village is very pretty and the cottage looks out on to a green with a beck and stone bridges. There is also a nice pub a couple of doors away. A short walk past Lintin Falls takes you to Grassington and numerous walks can be made from the cottage.

Know the area very well and this is a perfect location. Linton is a beautiful Wharfedale village close to Grassington + Location Location Location - fabulous + Design and layout + Plenty of storage - useful front porch for coats and shoes + Welcome pack + Good pub two doors away providing excellent food + Linton Laithe - excellent full english breakfast - ring to book + Good value - Towels inc - one small!! bath towel each and only two hand towels (bathroom and toilet) not acceptable. Really should offer a hand towel for each person and one in the kitchen. The size of the bath towel would not cover your modesty if you didn't have a dressing gown with you. I had to go out and buy a bath sheet. - No hair dryer - no wifi (land line given as reason not to have - would suggest sharing with next door if poss as they have wifi) - No shelf for toiletries in the bathroom - No radio - cars turning in front of cottage due to dead end and busy pub Despite a few minus points can't wait to stay again.

Sandy Cottage was a fabulous base to return to after a day walking out in the Dales and across the moors. The cottage was beautifully decorated and comfortably equipped - so good that we didn't want to leave! Linton is a picturesque village, with walks from the doorstep. The village green complete with resident ducks and the river running through adds to the beauty. The Fountaine Inn, just a lethal few yards from the cottage, offers excellent food and a welcoming atmosphere. What more could you want? Can't wait to return.

We had a great time especially our 5 year old daughter who we could not keep away from the little stream (very safe) and the ducks. The pub next door was excellent and very welcoming of children. Our only minor gripe would be that the lounge furniture could be more comfortable. Over all a great place and we would go back.

Just wanted to say we had a fabulous time at your beautiful cottage in Linton. It was really homely and had everything we needed. There were some nice touches - the delicious biscuits, the tea and coffee, but most of all the lovely comfortable beds! I'm sure we'll be back again! Thanks again, the week was bliss!
