The cottage is stunning. Exceptionally comfy beds and all kitchen kit you could need. However, some basic flaws. 3 adults booked, only 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels provided. There are 3 bathrooms and 1 downstairs loo. So not enough towels to go round. Hand wash/soap only in downstairs loo. No hand wash or soap in other bathrooms. Remember to pack your own! As a well travelled person I’ve never considered having to pack such a basic commodity as soap for any toilet/bathroom. TV had a very bad reception and was unwatchable. The weather was great so no TV not an issue for us but in the dark winter months it’d be a deal breaker for us. Basic hygiene by way of soap in all bathrooms should be expected especially as limited shops close by. The local pub is awful. The Railway is much better. Garage back door doesn’t have a key so not secure storing expensive bikes etc.

Lovely old cottage but bath needs hand -rail ,shower attachment got in way as already 3 showers and a warning about low ceilings would be helpful as banging head was painful . Neighbour Phil was very helpful with local knowledge and offer to cut grass , but all locals were very friendly and seemed pleased to help. Very spacious inside although right on edge of Snowdonia so visitors need to be aware Mount Snowdon at Llanberis is over 50 miles each way . Road to Bala is amazing with sheer drop on one side .

Our family of four had a fantastic time.. The cottage is absolutely spotless. And very large. The locals are a mind of information where to go and what to see. And this time of year is lambing time. Really lovely. This is our second visit to the cottage, we will definitely be coming next year

This cottage was so comfortable and well equipped and everything supplied was of very good quality. It’s a deceptively spacious cottage. The beds were comfortable and the fact that each bedroom had an en-suite bathroom was a real bonus as we were five adults altogether. We found some lovely walks straight from the cottage and others within a short car journey .

Great base for getting away from it all.. After a long day walking and exploring the area nice to come back and relax in front of a roaring warm fire. Lovely cottage, very roomy and well equipped, we were not disappointed.

What an excellent cottage.. Everything was superb. The location in the mountains, the facilities and the 2 pubs nearby helped to make this a brilliant stay. The owners of the cottage have thought of everything to make staying here perfect.

There was a mobile phone app offered by Sykes with which (I thought) the status of our booking could be seen.. After booking I looked a few times but I never saw a confirmation of the booking in the app.

Bodywen is a lovely house with masses of space on the ground floor and an enclosed garden.. The kitchen made for a wonderful family space at mealtimes and was very well equipped and with plenty of cupboard space. The utility area was an unexpected bonus. The main lounge was cosy in the evenings when we were all relaxing together. The second lounge wasn't needed but had we had a rainy week I'm sure we would have got plenty of use out of it. The upstairs accommodation is equally lovely though my mum who was sharing the twin with my daughter struggled for space and kept banging her head in the ensuite whenever she used the loo. I banged my head quite a few times too in the big bathroom. (None of us are tall I might add.) The beds were extremely comfortable and everything was very clean and tastefully decorated. We had glorious weather for the week we were there and so we were out every day in the sunshine. Time spent in the cottage was fairly minimal and mainly centred around food prep, mealtimes and evenings playing board games with the kids or watching a DVD. We all loved the house and particularly the entrance hall with its unusual features. When we reluctantly returned home, it turned out my daughter had left behind something rather precious to her. The owner of the cottage couldn't have been kinder and more helpful in getting it returned to us. Thank you again Andrea.

The sofa needed a good hoover down the sides, lots of biscuit & crisp crumbs - that is the only niggle

Lovely cosy cottage in a beautiful location amongst the Welsh hills, made especially spectacular by the significant snowfall.. The cottage is extremely well furnished and equipped with a lovely big kitchen which made for sociable meals. The lounge has plenty of seating plus there's a smaller sitting room. All 3 bedrooms are ensuite which was a real bonus with 6 adults. Friendly pub just a few hundred yards and helpful neighbours who looked in on us to make sure we were ok when the 8" of snow came. We will definitely return.

Spent a long weekend here with friends. First thing I have to mention is the lovely big kitchen. Well-equipped and lots of room to work. Large table for us all to sit around chatting and having a laugh. 2 double bedrooms and 1 twin each en-suite which is a big plus. Cosy reading room, very well stocked with a varied selection of reading matter and a comfy lounge. Both with wood burning stoves. Plenty of wood in stock. Music to our ears (see what I did there!) It also has central heating which keeps the whole cottage warm. Large garden to the rear but parking a bit tight to the front. Well positioned to enjoy walks straight from the door. 2 pubs 2 minutes away, one of which is being refurbished. No food in that one at the moment but open for drinks at certain times. We partook of a meal at the New Inn. Can thoroughly recommend their food. All in all a great property and location to spend time.

We spent a week at the cottage and what a beautiful house in stunning scenery. The cottage interior is finished to perfection with en suites in all three bedrooms, well lit and centrally heated, the cottage was comfortable. The kitchen provided the right amount of utensils and utilities to make our self catering stay enjoyable. Downside is the lack of mobile phone signal coverage, but I’d turn the thing off and just enjoy the break, in this most accommodating cottage. Local shops are a 20 minute drive away, there’s the New Inn which serves food approximately two minutes walk away or my favourite The Plough in the next village Well worth the money and we’ll definitely be returning soon.
