Beautifully renovated cottage, everything about it was quality.. Owners provided everything you needed & more. Was lovely to meet both Gareth & Bridget while we were there, and got to watch Gareth & his daughter working the sheep with their dogs. Had some lovely meals at Country Cooks cafe, watched a great demo at the Glassblobbery, and the cottage was a great base for exploring and doing activities. Can thoroughly recommend the Whitewater rafting with SAS Outdoors

We had a great time in this lovely cottage.. It was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. It was also nice and spacious. It is situated in a beautiful setting with very green fields with lots of sheep and rabbits that our kids loved watching. We enjoyed some really lovely trips in the area in spite of a very rainy forecast. Mr and Mrs Evans were very easygoing and welcoming. We were recommended this cottage by friends and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

Lovely cottage.. Could do with a downstairs toilet. The oven was not working, as it had packed up on the previous persons holiday, they had not had time to fix it. Especialy as it was Christmas holidays.

Great cottage and well located for our needs.. Couldn’t have asked for anymore in terms of facilities and comfort of the cottage. Only issue the fan on the oven was broken which meant our food took longer to cook. Other than that a perfect little break. We would definitely stay again and recommend

We had a lovely stay at Meardy cottage over the Christmas period, we didn't get to meet the owners but spoke a few times on the phone & they seemed really nice & left a lovely welcome package of cakes/wine.. the cottage was well equipped & everything was clean ,the pictures just don't do it any justice ...it's very spacious but also cosy. my children loved looking out of the windows & seeing the farm animals around us. just a few minutes walk there's a little country pub that's serves lovely homemade food & the landlady was lovely & very welcoming. I would definitely recommend this beautiful cottage & will definitely be booking again in the future,we've stayed in a few over Christmas time but this ones definitely my favourite 10/10

Maerdy Cottage is Sykes Jewel in the Crown.. Great place to get away from the stress/hussle and bussle of city work. House had lots of space, very clean, with comfy beds, all set in a very quiet location. Hosts were very welcoming and helpful. We (mother-in-law, wife, 2 girls (8 & 13) and myself) really enjoyed the stay - location great for exploring Snowdonia/North/Mid Wales and Anglesey only 30 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes away. Bala only 8 miles away down the road. Plenty of walks around the area with right OS maps. 5 happy customers.

The cottage was exactly as listed and possibly more, was super nice to receive a welcome gift, they were helpful in letting my daughters drop their luggage off early when they arrived in wales earlier than anticipated, very kind.. plenty of room for the 6 of us, and great to be able to sit outside too as the weather was exceptionally good. i would thoroughly recommend this cottage to my family and friends. this was a great base for our weekend away.

Maerdy has such a solid real feel to it.. It’s an instant at home place with plenty of space downstairs for dancing!! Our hosts always leave us a welcome gift of goodies and on this occasion, with snow on the ground, they had popped in to turn the heat up too. Gorgeous and toasty. Looking forward to our next visit already.

We had a very relaxing stay at Maerdy Cottage over the festive period.. The view from the cottage was fantastic and we enjoyed our stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The cottage was always warm and the facilities available to us exceeded our expectations. It was relatively close to various tourist attractions including Mount Snowdon and Snowdonia National Park. We always had a fun game to play in the evenings after an eventful day. It was definitely a home away from home and we will be recommending this property to all our family and friends.

Maerdy Cottage is a beautiful clean and welcoming home. Everything you want or need from a holiday home is right here. Fantastic location for visiting Betws-y-Coed and Snowdonia also for visiting Chester and Shrewsbury and bigger cities of Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham. Beautiful towns nearby like Bala, Ruthin and Corwen. At the end of the road is a lovely pub with a open fire and great food. A short drive away there is Rhug Estate where there they rear Bison and they have lovely food and tasty bites here. The Burgers are to die for!! We had a great holiday here in October loads to do and at night sat down to a lovely warm stove fire with a glass of vino....Couldn't ask for better well worth a stay. The owners were so helpful and pleasant lovely to deal with.

The owners of the property left us to it, we have a daughter who has physical and learning disablities and she REALLY enjoyed our first family hoilday.. The owners offered us another night in the cottage free but unfortantly we couldn't take them up on their kind offer due to my husband's work comitments. We are already thinking that we would like to rebook our next hoilday at Mardy Cottage. The cottage was spotless and you could tell that the cottage is lovingly kept to the highest state of cleaness both of our young children ( 5 and 4) are both wanting to go back in the near future and I think that the weekend we were there we will ALL have lasting fond memories.
