Wow! What a wonderful cottage in a fabulous setting.. Everything was immaculately clean and very well equipped - Mrs Williams was extremely helpful and provided lots of useful info about shops, pubs etc.
The village is a perfect setting to explore Snowdonia and the surrounding areas - everything seemed to be much nearer than expected - which meant we weren't spending lots of time travelling...
We cant wait to come back and explore further - once lockdown is lifted..
Many thanks...

This cottage was lovely, and exactly what we wanted.. My son who loves trains loved the train museum and shop. We all liked being so close to the shops and cafes while still being so quiet.
Unfortunately due to rain we were unable to walk as much as we would have liked but found plenty to do locally with two high school children.
The parking was close enough not to be a problem. We had a supermarket food delivery just after we arrived and were able to top up at the local shops as needed.
We all really enjoyed our stay.

Comfortable cottage, very convenient for visiting family in nearby Llanrwst - especially since the introduction of a train service on Sundays..

This is a lovely cottage, the best bit is the terrace at the back of the house that looks out onto the model railway and into the hills, you can sit and have your morning tea there.
The rooms are a good size and everywhere was spotless, small dining area where we played cards, a room off the kitchen was really useful for dirty boots or wet clothes without bringing them into the house.
The cottage is in a GREAT location. A minute into town but quiet and with a lovely view. Lots of places to eat, great for ZipWorld and hikes. Perfect.

This cottage is ideally situated not just for the pretty village of Betws-y-Coed but for the Snowdonia National Park ~ you can get to the high lights of the Park like the Snowdon Railway or Zip World before the crowds and take advantage of the various early bird offers.. There's plenty of private allocated parking, which is important in Betws, and it is literally a moment's walk away from the bustling shops and cafes around the Station. It is worth noting the trains are not running on the Conwy line at the moment due to storm damage in March '19 ~ due to reopen in the Summer. It's warm and well equipped and one we will revisit.

The Railway Cottage is very specious and located at a very good spot in Betws-y-Coed (a good place to be! ). The train passes really close to the cottage but as the train only runs 6 times a day (forward/backward) it only ads to the atmosphere we expected with a railway cottage.

For a train fanatic family the location of the cottage was perfect. Our 3 year old was in ecstasy, Mainline train drivers waved and tooted at him every day. In a lovely setting with plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Watching the rabbits every morning was an unexpected bonus.

I rely on trip advisor reviews when traveling do happy to review.
I wasn't sure what to expect when I booked this cottage for our family of five. It was better than I'd hoped- clean, great location, well- equipped kitchen. Cottage is walking distance from several hiking trails and also in the center of town. There is information on nearby attractions available and also has wifi. The only negative is the bedding had a bottom sheet and a blanket, no top sheet, but it worked fine. It is a bit tucked away, but directions given were good; just follow carefully. We plan to return to Wales and would stay there again!

Cottage is comfortable, good parking which is a bonus in Betws-Y-Coed. however the description needs updating for Sykes cottages, there is a ceramic electric hob, not a bottled gas hob as in the details. We would certainly return there again.

We loved this cottage, it was gorgeous and everything we wanted. Really well equipped with little extras like tea and Welsh cakes ready on arrival, with a welcome card. This was the only contact we had with the owners. There were fresh flowers in a vase a nice touch , games, books, dvds & cd's. A washing machine clothes line pegs washing powder, not that I wanted to be washing on holiday but it was so nice not to come home to a load.
the cottage has a single train railway line running outside the patio and garden. The 6am train woke us briefly but was really not a problem at all .
The property is so so quiet and peaceful but not more than 5 mins walk you are in the heart of lovely Betws y coed a busy place full of live with everything you need . We marveled at this many times. I can't speak highly enough of this rental cottage, we had such a wonderful time here in North Wales.
A small point being extra picky the bathroom was a bit dated and needed a bit more of a thorough clean . Not dirty as such just not as immaculately clean as the rest of the house. Like i say dated, toilet flush kept getting stuck so you had to get a knack of using it as it were. Shower not very powerful either.
These are really just minor points and should not put anyone of renting this gorgeous little gem
