A lovely cottage with gorgeous views.. The hosts were very friendly and gave us some good tips on where to go. We were also lucky to see if any of the sheep were having babies. A lovely time.

Sheila and Huw were lovely Sheila even made us some bread rolls which were yummy.. Even though the weather was not brilliant we had a really good stay visiting lots of places that we had not been to before and would recommend it to anyone.

This short stay in a working farm cottage was truly delightful.. A really warm welcome from Sheila and Huw added to this even more. We enjoyed our walks in the nearby countryside and seeing the local farm livestock. Hats off to everyone working hard in agriculture to keep the rest of us in food. Just brilliant. Many thanks, the Tetley family

Everything you need for a great family holiday, for a very reasonable price.. The owners are very nice and helpful. The boys loved the dogs. There are very lovely walks and drives in the area. The surroundings were spectacular. We definitely will book it again someday.

Crud-y-Barcud is a lovely cottage in a beautiful setting, in the heart of the Dolacothi Estate.. The accommodation & facilities are well thought out and comfortable, we very much enjoyed being part of the farm, the boys were constantly popping out to see what was going on. The farm dogs were great company, and Sheila takes great care to make sure that we were happy with everything. Fantastic walks directly from the cottage, up hills or along the river plus superb marked trails around Dolacothi Estate. So much to see and do in the area, with the Brecon Beacons and the coast within driving distance.

Crud-y-Barcud is even nicer than its photographs - and larger than we anticipated.. The owners could not have been more welcoming or helpful. It is in a beautiful, unspoilt part of Wales. Perfect for a quiet, relaxing getaway.

This is a beautiful little cottage with everything you could need provided for you. Ok, so the internet isn't great and there is absolutely no mobile signal, but you sometimes just have to 'make do'. We had a lovely warm welcome when we arrived and they had even given us a bottle of wine and a home made loaf of bread which was a lovely touch. We were told when we booked that the cottage is attached to the owners property and that it is on a working farm which we were fine with. The first day we were warned that they were bringing all the sheep in the next day so we were ready for all the noise... even if it was 5.30am. However, if you are looking for a nice peaceful and relaxing holiday then this probably isn't the right place for you because the constant barking of the dogs from as ealy as 6am EVERY MORNING is very annoying. I get up early for work every day and when I'm on holiday I like to have at least a little bit of a lie in... this spoiled my enjoyment a bit because I felt like I had to go to bed early every night to make up for the early rude awakening every day That being said though, the cottage is very cosy and a great base for exploring the surrounding area.

The owners were amazing from start to finish. We've never felt more welcome anywhere and it's the first place we have said we would go back to! The views were breathtaking and everyone in Wales was amazing. The national Botanic Gardens is a great day out for a picnic and the views again are stunning! Wow - Wales, what a place!
