Or it’s a half-hour drive to the mid-century modern architecture and pool parties of Palm Springs.

Perhaps you're just here to sunbathe by the pool and we can get on board with that. Soak in the hot tub, crank up the gas grill and eat out on the terrace – days here were made to be spent outdoors. Hosts can arrange for a private chef if you're really pushing the boat out and want to put the gourmet kitchen through its paces. Or, organise a relaxing massage at the house. The fireplace in the living can keep the place cosy warm on cold desert nights and wood shutters and tufted headboards in the bedrooms set a classy tone. It might not include a Beyonce appearance but this Coachella home is a hot ticket in its own right.
