Built in 1913, the wooden cabin wouldn't look out of place on a remote mountain - instead, you get Abbott Kenny and the beach within a few minutes' walk. Push open the gate and head up to the porch, where a red leather sofa and small writing desk provide a nook of privacy. The open-plan living area is a burst of art prints and retro knickknacks. Sloping ceilings and grey walls sport a long exhibition poster, underneath which a child's rocking horse stands. An pine-wood kitchen opens to the print-covered dining space - keep an eye out for the vintage sewing machine and powder blue cabinet. Real wood floors lead to large bedrooms, each of which have antique furniture and one has its own private terrace. After days of surfing or skating up and down the promenade, finish up in the enclosed back garden, with its outdoor furniture, perfect for evening drinks.
