It's quite hard to find a home in Los Angeles where you don't have to rely on a car to get around. Luckily, Best Of Bastet is within walking distance to Gold Line Metro, which will quickly get you to the beach. The surrounding area is also walkable – the tourists haven’t discovered Highland Park yet, and there are all sorts of cafes, restaurants, and independent shops (including several record stores) for you to explore. While the outsides of this home look unassuming, the interior has been designed with an eye for minimalism. The home isn't bare, but rather balanced with sleek wishbone chairs and other Scandi-inspired furniture, which leaves plenty of space for plants. There's a neatly paved terrace right outside where you can chill out and get the fire pit going, as well as a bright living room where you can relax during the day. If you do end up purchasing vinyl during your stay, you'll get to listen to them before you get home too, as this home is equipped with a neat gramophone.
Home truths: * As shown on the photos, this home has a permanent feline resident named Quincy, so take note if anyone in your group has allergies — if you are not a cat person, your host is happy to find him an alternative temporary home during your stay
* There are no curtains in this home, which means the sleeping mask in the bedroom will be your only protection from the morning sun
* A third guest may be accommodated in this home, but it will be a choice between sleeping on the sofa or an air mattress
