There are cycle routes and forest walks on the doorstep such as the Dalavich Oakwood Trail, Avich Falls and Otter Point, where red squirrels, pine martens, woodpeckers, deer and otters may be seen. The village has a shop/cafe and community hall with bar, opening times are seasonal. For fishing enthusiasts, Loch Awe offers 24 miles of shoreline with an abundance of fish, which makes it very popular boat hire and permits can be purchased from Loch Awe Boats. Oban is 27 miles away, the 'Gateway to the Isles' which also has a full range of shops, cafes, and restaurants. The property is in the perfect location for a true Scottish adventure. Entering this former schoolhouse, you can leave coats and boots in the porch and then head into the spacious open plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Relax on the comfortable sofas after a day out exploring the beautiful local area and watch a movie on the Smart TV, and on those cooler evenings, enjoy cosy nights in front of the roaring wood burner. Moving through to the delightful kitchen/diner you will find a dining area perfect for sharing a family meal. The kitchen is equipped with an electric double oven, electric hob, microwave, dishwasher and American fridge/freezer with ice maker. The washing machine is housed in the nearby utility room. Continuing back through the hallway on the ground floor there is a shower room with WC and two double bedrooms. Going upstairs to the first floor, you will find one king size and one twin bedroom. There is also a bathroom with a bath, separate shower and WC on this level. Venturing outside to the spacious fully enclosed garden, you will find the private hot tub, seating area and charcoal BBQ, ideal for al fresco dining. The garden itself is mainly laid to lawn, with a large driveway for up to three cars.
