Of course, those areas attract visitors for a reason, and you're well within a ten-to-twenty-five minute walk of most of the city's headline attractions, including Sé de Lisboa, Praça do Comercio and Convento do Carmo. However, for an authentic taste of Lisbon, there are plenty of classic cafes and local restaurants closer to home that will charge you a lot less by dint of not being in the centre.

Once you're inside the apartment, you'll be greeted by a stunning open-plan space with a bench seating area, a six-seater dining table and a sleek wooden kitchen. A polished concrete floor only adds to the contemporary aesthetic, while the balcony offers a partial panorama over the city.
