Dreamy blue views await at this coastal villa. The private pool, sunny roof terrace and a few bedrooms all offer panoramas of crystal-clear waters. The interior doesn't quite stack up to the scenery, but it's got plenty of space, inside and out – and, with a barbecue and complete kitchen, cooking at home is a breeze. That said, Albufeira's Old Town is a short walk away, offering shops, restaurants, bars and cafes if you fancy something more local for dinner. Of course, a trip to the Algarve isn't complete without a few days at the beach – Praia do Peneco is less than ten minutes on foot.

*This home is spread out over several levels. There's a ground-floor bedroom here, with the remaining rooms on the first and second levels.
*The swimming pool isn't fenced. Little ones will need to be supervised at all times.
*The nearest supermarket is a two-minute walk away if you need to stock up on supplies.
*The patio isn't in the best condition, and some of the bedrooms are a bit plain.
*A car isn't necessary here, but it may be handy to have one for adventures further afield. There's private parking available.
