This villa has all the right ingredients for a special stay in Tuscany. Nestled among vineyards and olive groves, the surroundings are gorgeously green. And while it’s close to hilltop towns like Montepulciano, when you’re lounging by the pool it feels wonderfully secluded. The rooms are set over three floors, offering ample space to stretch out, and have all the rustic character you’d expect from a restored farmhouse. Our top tip while you’re here? Visit a nearby winery to pick up a local vintage – the perfect tipple to toast your trip as you relax in the garden.

Home truths:
*The accommodation here is set across the main house, which has eight bedrooms, and a separate annexe which has one bedroom. The annexe has its own living area and kitchenette, with the bedroom located on the mezzanine level, so privacy is limited.
*This home is spread across three floors, so you'll need to be able to climb stairs here. It might not be the best option for those with reduced mobility.
*One of the beds is made up of two single mattresses pushed together to form a double – speak to your host in advance if you'd prefer this set up as two singles.
*If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair for free. You'll need to request them in advance.
*The swimming pool is around 20 metres from the house and only available for use between the last Saturday in April and the first Saturday in October.
*Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay. Free parking is available.
