Villa Sofia Livorno, Tuscany

Beautiful house and property, but poor, not well maintained and unfortunately it wasn't clean either...a shame...you could do so much with so little...the house had great potential. The pool was nice and big but from the 3rd day onwards we had to "manage" it ourselves and the pump only worked sporadically... It is sold as a fenced property, but it isn't! We were constantly on the go, our dog had no problem going to the neighbour's house, onto the street or into the vast no man's land.

The house itself is in good condition. Unfortunately, it wasn't very clean and the furnishings are unfortunately already past their best. The reception from the caretaker was good. Unfortunately, it wasn't particularly clean, so we first had to wash the dishes and some pots. The stove was unfortunately not particularly clean and had to be cleaned first. The pool was acidic and the water clear. The garden could also be a bit neater and tidier.

The house is terribly dirty. I have photo documentation. The pool is unusable, the water is cloudy, dirty. At home, you can expect several thousand additional tenants, i.e. red ants. The fight lasted the entire stay. The toilets were not cleaned prior to our arrival. The beds were not made up. Curtains and windows dirty. Furniture at home and outside dirty. The umbrellas by the pool were broken. Animal droppings on the furniture in the so-called TV room. I do not recommend it, especially for the price!

Path to the house is downright bad, with a sporty car a whole tour to get there without hassle, preferably not to meet oncoming traffic. There is no question of a living room, that is a wooden thing. Kitchen is old but works properly. Furniture in the kitchen leaves something to be desired: paint from the table is peeling enormously, chairs are very uncomfortable. Swimming pool was still cold, great size, plenty of sunbeds. Owner Lorenzo is top notch, very friendly and helpful! Also had a pleasant stay.

The property is beautiful and the location is quiet and secluded, the villa next door is also rented, but we didn't notice anything about it. The cleanliness and the condition of the accommodation has probably not changed fundamentally since the 1st post 2015, not everything works or is in good condition, the large mattresses, bathroom fittings, the pool pump only runs sporadically. The love and care for the object is limited, which is a shame!

The location of the villa is ideal. The calm environment is very pleasant. We had a very nice week.
