We love Florence for a solo city break or romantic weekend – and this home is the perfect pad for stress-free sightseeing. Lots of popular landmarks are within walking distance (the Duomo, the Uffizi Galleries, the Ponte Vecchio), so you won’t have to go far to find the city’s best bits. And the apartment is comfortable as well as convenient, although you may miss having a sofa to lounge on after a long day. The kitchen is a nice bonus for breakfast, but in the evening, we recommend heading out for dinner and drinks. It’s the best way to get a taste of local life – a decidedly delicious taste.
