This top-floor apartment is close to Santa Maria Novella train station, meaning you can drop your bags and set off sightseeing with little time to spare. All the main attractions are reachable on foot, and the local restaurants in the area make up for the compact kitchen back home. It's bright and makes a great base for adventures, but the layout here is a little unusual. The main bedroom has a mezzanine level housing the second bedroom, so privacy is limited and the ceilings are low. With that in mind, we think it works best for small families or two friends who don't mind sharing snug spaces.
Home truths: *The main bedroom is separated from the kitchen by glass doors. The second bedroom is on the mezzanine level – it has low ceilings and is semi-open to the bedroom below, so privacy is limited. There’s also a sofa and a TV on this level.
*This isn’t the biggest nor the most private apartment. We think it works best for families rather than four adults.
*This apartment is on the third floor of a building without a lift. We suggest packing light as there are a lot of stairs to climb here.
*Given the central location, noise is to be expected. We suggest packing earplugs if you're a light sleeper.
*If you're travelling for work, you won't find a dedicated desk here. However, the dining table doubles up as a laptop-friendly workspace.
