Cottage Contadina Cortona, Tuscany

We were in the cottage in May, the weather wasn't so good, rain and cool temperatures. This made it very cold in the house, especially the floor. Facilities: everything necessary was there, but nothing more. Shower extremely small. The property is well-kept, very shady thanks to the trees, sunny spots are rare. Definitely great in the heat. The view would be fantastic if it wasn't overgrown with trees. The drive is doable for experienced drivers, typical of the country. We still felt comfortable.

Very romantic cottage for 2 people in the middle of the forest in the hills of Cortona. Very remote, but if you are looking for peace and relaxation, then it is a dream. The approach is sometimes adventurous, narrow, curvy + potholes. The landlord accompanies the first approach. Beautiful terrace in front of the bedroom with a large table and benches, there is another seating area on the wooden terrace with a pool. The landlord is very friendly and cleans the pool every 2nd day.

Very nice, sweet little house, perfect with a dog! My dog thought the garden was super nice and you could go for a nice walk on the spot. Owners incredibly friendly and helpful. The only drawback was the lack of fly screens on the windows and doors, so that constantly mosquitoes, spiders and other crawling creatures came into the house. Directions very adventurous, but mobile. If you are looking for a quiet place, far away from all the usual tourism, you are in good hands there!

The house is in the shade (great when it's hot) on a hill with a fairly steep and narrow approach. But you live secluded and romantic in the middle of the forest. The house is lovingly furnished with a great terrace and large pool. The nearest town with pizzeria and supermarket can be reached in 15 minutes. We felt very comfortable there .

A small cottage located high on the mountain offers a cool spot in Tuscany, including a pool, even at 35 degrees. The journey is a bit difficult, but you can find peace and relaxation here.

For those seeking peace and quiet, this cottage in a magical setting is a hit! We enjoyed it very much, despite the not easy paths due to the steep slope! But we quickly got used to it! A four-wheel drive car would be recommended. It was a wonderful time in an extraordinary place! We are thrilled!

The house in the Contatina can be reached after 4 km of an adventurous uphill ride. Here you can see wild boar, porcupine, raccoon...rarely people. Exactly what you need for a relaxing holiday. Friendly host takes you to the property the first time. Cortona is about 7km down the mountain and up again. Nice garden to sit in. Dog also felt comfortable... Perfect vacation for us here.

A house that can be rented very well in terms of value for money. A very good location for a quiet dream vacation. The entire complex is very well maintained and equipped with all the necessary details (pool, fireplace, etc.). Very nice (owner/landlord), who regularly takes care of the cleaning and organization of the house and taking care of the pool. All in all 5 out of 5 stars!!

Super location and a beautiful environment. We had a somewhat cool week in the summer and because the house and pool received little sunlight, it was sometimes on the cold side. With high temperatures you are fantastic here. The way there is a fun challenge and will take you about 20 minutes.

Great holiday home at 800 m altitude with its own pool. Useful for guests who want peace and seclusion. Getting there is no problem for experienced drivers.

The house is quietly located on top of a mountain. It is clean and has all the necessary utensils. However, there is no internet access and access to the house is a bit complicated (very steep road and space for only one car, followed by 500m of dirt road).

Unfortunately the pictures are outdated, no sun as in the picture, everything with trees full of sun you have to look for it. Lots of bugs from the bedroom ceiling onto the bed, we even had a bat in the room at night. The shower was full of mold, a scorpion in the room but the landlord can't do anything about that. The pool was too cold you couldn't swim. no view that was a pity. It wasn't at all what we had imagined.

Super holiday, especially on hot days very pleasant climate there.

Very nice cottage in the hills near Cortona. It is very quiet and a place to really relax. In the summer it is significantly cooler than in the valley and therefore very pleasant.The owner is very nice and takes care of the pool every other day.Only to be noticed: It is a bit offsite (in the hills) and you have to get used to the small street. However, after a few times it is no problem at all.
