Tucked away in the charming lakeside town of Anguillara Sabazia, this little bolthole is perfect for a pair of couples (or a couple of pairs), or a small family looking for a serene retreat. It’s a four-minute stroll to the shores of beautiful Lake Bracciano, and plenty of local trattoria and lakeside bars are in the streets surrounding the apartment. We love that this home provides a typical Italian Lakes escape, but you’re just a forty-minute drive from the iconic ancient sights of Rome’s centre.
The apartment itself feels boutique and old-worldly at the same time with gnarled old wood beams lining the ceiling and exposed patches of stonework. The decor feels like a mix of beachy-breeze and ancient world with driftwood bedside lamps and boat oars alongside oil paintings. The open kitchen, living and dining room is a cosy spot to unwind in after a day by the lake, but it’s the proximity to the charming bars and restaurants of Anguillara Sabazia that really sold this place to us.
