Teach Altra self-catering is an old stone house recently restored and extended. There are two ensuite bedrooms and the house can accommodate a party of four people. The kitchen is fully equipped with all modern conveniences and the living room has an open fire and television. Teach Altra has panoramic views of the MacGillycuddy’s Reeks and highlands of Glencar.

Glencar is famous for it’s rough shooting Woodcock, Snipe, Pheasant, Duck and Hare from November to January. Deer Stalking is also available from September. We accommodate many hunters each year. We are more than happy to reserve this activity for you.
