Walking though the fields and mahair to the very quiet beach. A very welcoming house to come back to, spacious rooms and well stocked with equipment in the kitchen. Day trips to the national park hills, the smokers, Clifden, and all the coast roads, which made us appreciate the area but also value how quiet this place is after the busier tourist places.. Driving to the next beach north to watch the sunset. Lovely house well suited to it's environment and a great base for our adventures. Hot water caught is out a couple of times, perhaps add a timer on the immersion (or leave boiler on hot water mode in summer?) Not a major issue but took a bit of getting used to. There was quite a bit of food (condiments etc) passed down from previous occupants, which was really useful, but some clear notes about that would have been useful to help us know what / if we were expected to use and what we were expected not to touch.
