Head into Costa centre, where the ferry runs to the buzzing island of Spetses and you’ll find a handful of tavernas and beach bars.

From the vantage point of your rooftop terrace, gaze out over the green hills, where orange-roofed villas peek through. In the distance, you’ve got the sparkling sea meeting an endless blue sky. You can dine up here, or head down to the poolside terrace for an alfresco feast courtesy of the stone-built barbecue. The pool terrace is fringed with palms and flowering bougainvillaea for a bit of privacy.

It’s all class inside, with dark-wood antique furniture filling the living room and an old brick fireplace in the centre. Grab a bottle from the wine cabinet and enjoy at the wicker dining table. The kitchen has everything you need for self-catering, or you could head to the wining and dining hotspot of Porto Heli, 6km away, for an evening on the town.
