Brimming with plants, personal trinkets, and artworks made by a friend of the host’s grandmother, you can sense the calmness and love as soon as you step through the front door. While it’s not in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg, it's only five minutes away from Mauerpark. And there are also plenty of eateries, cosy coffee shops and design boutiques within walking distance.

Home truths:
*It’s on the second floor with no lift – you have to climb fifty steps to reach the front door
*The wifi was a bit slow when we visited
*There’s no home manual at the moment
*It’s a lived in home – expect to share the space with some of the host’s belongings (clothes, toiletries)
*There’s limited storage space for you to use in the bedroom
