Evasion Chamonix, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes

Cute little chalet for a week with the family. Too bad the equipment is mediocre (wobbly chairs, few kitchen utensils)

Access to the chalet is difficult in winter with a slope without a guardrail. Parking is 140 meters down a hill. For people walking with difficulty to avoid. The interior is minimalist, broken furniture, burnt tablecloth, average cleanliness.

The house is cute and well equipped. We did not lack anything in the kitchen. The negative note has been the basement where the second room and the bathroom with shower were. The humidity was terrible the comforter that was on the bed when we arrived was damp. The smell also pushed back the truth. In the end we all sleep upstairs

Access to the chalet is not secure, even dangerous, and that's a shame. And when we rent sheets they could offer to make the beds because upstairs it's really tedious! And lack of ventilation in the bathroom.

Great location, under the glacier, quiet place a bit isolated but close to Chamonix and the ski slopes of Les Houches. Pleasant spacious accommodation, equipped, perfect for 4 people. Negative notes: keys to be collected and returned not on site but a ten minute drive away, no flexibility in timetables, requests sent via booking and via email remained unanswered, wifi with extra charge, linen provided only with exaggerated price supplement.

Very quiet and functional chalet. Beautiful walks around. We can deplore the absence of a parking space in front and difficult access on foot by a stone staircase in poor condition, especially in winter when there is frost.

Very nice view and beautiful chalet. Too bad there is no equipment such as raclette, fondue or even an outdoor table. The ban on parking at the chalet is a negative point...

The place is quiet, the chalet is good, we had a very good stay. Except that the room downstairs is very humid and the cleaning is not perfect during this period of covid.

Chalet with humidity problems in the basement (1 master bedroom + bathroom) with a real odor problem (swollen bedroom door that does not close). A terrace with very degraded and more than minimalist equipment (no parasol for example) and there the same emanation from the septic tank.

We enjoyed our stay at Chalet Evasion. The all-wooden interior is very nice and consistent with the photos. In terms of equipment, there is everything you need. We were well received by the agency. The downside is the outside access. The markets are high and not easy.
