Booked just 24 hours before we went. It was a lovely surprise when we arrived. Exactly as in photos. Small, but cosy cottage attached to a listed farmhouse. The host, Carole, was so welcoming, even baking us a lovely cake and leaving us a complementary bowl of fruit and some fresh flowers. She told us the history of the mill and was very informative about the local area.
The cottage itself was cosy and warm. The kitchen is a little small, but for what we wanted it was perfectly adequate. The bedroom was lovely, with a big comfy bed. The only downside was a sloping roof, but we managed to avoid any head bumps.
It all added to the charm of the cottage.
WiFi was a bonus, as our phone signal was poor.
The local area was great for walking and exploring.
We will certainly be back for another visit.
