Lovely house but needs some updating in bathrooms.. Only one proper shower head amongst 6 adults isnt convenient and taking baths each morning before going out isnt realistic. It was the only downside to the property .

Dorrington Court is a beautiful home and and was a lovely retreat for our week's stay in the glorious county of Shropshire.. The home was luxuriously appointed, very warm and welcoming. A book lovers paradise, with selections to suit all tastes. We felt so lucky to have discovered it on your web site and privileged to be able to rent it. Every possible requirement was catered for, it was indeed home from home regarding facilities, everything provided was of the highest quality, especially china and glassware, there was absolutely nothing overlooked, we could wrote at length about the many delights of this home.
Dorrington is a quiet village but houses a very welcoming pub The Horseshoes, good meals and friendly hosts and the local shop is stocked with everything one could possible want from a village shop, both establishments only a few minutes walk away. Shropshire is a beautiful county and we enjoyed visiting Church Stretton, Ludlow and Cardingmill Valley.
Howard, the owner was a charming host and took time and trouble to meet and greet us. A wonderful holiday, this home is highly recommended and we certainly hope to return.

Dorrington Court is very handy for visiting many tourist attraction in Shropshire. The house is very much a family home with lots of painting, ornaments and books available to admire and enjoy.
The house has 3 double bedrooms and 1 single, which are serviced by 3 bathrooms, non of which has a serviceable shower. The baths didn’t all have rails to help when climbing out which made it quiet difficult post hip/knee replacement!
The house has good facilities for cooking, although we couldn’t get the grill to work, everything else was in good working order. There is a washing machine and dish washer, although no obvious place to hang washing. There was a pressing machine in the kitchen and an ironing board but no obvious iron (maybe we didn’t find it)
There is a garden at the rear which was badly overgrown and the table and chairs which we spotted in the patio area were not in good condition. Fortunately we were able to sit at the front of the property weather permitting. We tended to congregate in the conservatory which was lovely and warm at the end of each day.
There is a really good pub /restaurant with an option to eat meals in the beer garden. Beware - portion sizes are very generous! (Horseshoes

Dorrington Court is on a great location for visiting all that’s Sothern Shropshire. We visited Ironbridge, Church Stretton & Hordingly. The house is large but filled to the brim with personal mementos to the extent that it gives the house a very dark & somewhat cluttered appearance. The property has 4 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms but no shower which in this day & age a large loss. This has been mentioned in the visitors book by almost all guests !!
The house is well equipped with crockery, cutlery & kitchen utensils plus all the tablets & powders for the washing machine & dishwasher. Plenty of towels but we had to supply our own bath towels. The conservatory was a cosy spot & we used it daily. There was a patio at the garden end but you had to bush wack to get there to find rusty old furniture. This property could be fabulous with some maintenance & some update.
