A beautifully renovated barn in a lovely, tranquil setting.. Very well equipped. Comfortable seating in lounge (big leather recliners) and very comfortable beds. Just off the A49, so easy to explore this beautiful part of the world. Jackie, James and lovely dogs, Pippa and Summer, made us very welcome.

We had a wonderful time.. The cottage was very comfortable and homely. The owners, James and Jackie were very welcoming and went the extra mile to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Will definitely return.

Absolutely fantastic holiday cottage.. The hosts were extremely thoughtful, arrived to a plate of homemade mince pies, Christmas decorations and fresh milk in the fridge. This was the most equipped holiday home we have stayed at, everything had been thought of and was very much appreciated. The conversion is high end as were the furnishings. Spotlessly clean, warm and very welcoming. We would certainly recommend a stay here.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our week at Chatford Roost and have certainly highlighted it as a cottage we would like to stay in again when we next plan a holiday in Shropshire.. Everything was comfortable, clean and very well presented. and we were quite sorry to leave at the end of the week. We have already recommended it to another member of our family and will probably recommend it to a few friends too. James and Jackie were very friendly and helpful, which added to our enjoyment of the holiday.

The cottage is located in a lovely environment with swallows flying overhead and chickens by your feet.. A lovely rural idyll but not far from a main road taking you to lots of great locations

Chatford Roost is a delightful and spacious holiday home.. The layout is excellent. Perfect for two couples with two ensuite bedrooms at either end of the cottage. Good for families as well. A beautiful rural location, with the main A149 only a minute down the lane. It is well placed for all of Shropshire's attractions, with Carding MIll Valley only 10 miles down the A149. Our hosts James and Jackie were very friendly and helpful.

Was surprised that the owners did not come and see us sooner, as they lived next door.. Not many glasses, 6 large tumblers and 6 wine glasses. No small tumblers or glasses. We went out and brought 4 small sherry glasses. Which we left behind. We had 1 light missing in our bathroom. In the dinning area 1 set of lights (4) were not working. No instructions as to where the ash from the log burner should go.

Really well equipped accommodation in a quiet spot but quite close (4 miles) to a trading estate with supermarkets etc.. Nearest pubs are a drive away. There are great places to visit within 30 minutes drive. Shrewsbury has great architecture and lots of independent shops, as does Ludlow. A visit to Ironbridge is also worth the effort although the bridge is undergoing renovations at the moment and is surrounded by scaffold and tarpaulin. If I was to nit pick, this is a farm and the flies are plentiful but there were lots of cobwebs to catch them!

Lovely barn conversion very central for places of interest in Shropshire and into Wales.. Had a very good week, even the weather was warm and sunny. The owners are very friendly and helpful and it is a cottage that we would return to if up in the area again.

I booked this last minute with my friends on the day! Jackie, the owner was great to turn this around so fast for us. The barn was clean, and relaxing, so much room as well, with both bedrooms with ensuites too. It’s not far from Shrewsbury town centre which we visited in the day for food and drinks, we also had a Chinese one night that delivered too! So it was a great location for all our needs, and Jackie was on hand when we needed her, ( I ran out of dishwasher tablets, and she popped some over!) I would highly recommend this barn conversion to stay for a break away, it had everything we needed and will definitely look to book for our girly break next year.

Very comfortable accomodation for two couples or two single. Television in lounge with full freeview plus smaller tv in bedrooms. Two bedrooms with double beds(one of which can be split to 2 X 3ft beds) all have en-suite shower/bath. Parking for 2 - 3 cars and additional hard standing behind the utility buildings. Wi-fi was reliable and reasonably fast. Very well equipped kitchen with hob, oven , microwave and fridge/freezer. The wash/dryer , 2nd sink and toilet is adjacent. The owner lives on site and manages the farm part of the business. Close to BaystonHill and Shrewsbury, one small drawback is the narrow half mile of lane to the A49, there is no drainage and some blind corners.

We found the sloping roof in both bedrooms and bathrooms challenging to say the least.. However the location is very convenient in the area.

This is a beautiful part of the country with great walks and interesting places to visit. We were only at Chatford Roost for a flying visit this time but it's a lovely apartment - cosy, tasteful and well-equipped - and we'll definitely be back!
