To the exterior there is plenty of off-road parking, surrounding lawns and a courtyard with furniture and a barbecue. Acorn Cottage 1 is a welcoming cottage placed excellently for exploring the countryside and fine market towns of Shropshire.

The village of Burlton sits in the countryside of northern Shropshire, it is home to a high-quality food pub. Nearby are many of the county's main attractions including the Shropshire Hills AONB and the market towns of Ellesmere and Shrewsbury, all three popular places deserve at least one day each to fully explore their wonders.

Region
A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was "the quietest place under the sun" and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.
