Wokkon Lodge is a detached lodge featuring a kitchen and a living/dining room. Appliances include electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, TV with Freeview, DVD player, woodburning stove. The bedrooms include a king-size and a twin, serviced by a shower room. To the outside there is off-road parking for two cars and a patio with furniture. Within 4.2 miles or less there is a shop and pub and please note, two pets are welcome but sorry, there is no smoking. WiFi, travel cot, highchair, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Wokkon Lodge is a delightful base for exploring Gloucestershire. Note: The garden area is not enclosed so dogs and children must be supervised. Note: Dogs to be kept on a lead when outside due to livestock in the surrounding fields.

A large village within the county of Shropshire, Pontesbury can be found nestled on the norther edge of the Shropshire Hills AONB. Boasting beautiful scenery and walking routes, this area is wonderful for exploring nature, history, and romantic park. With a long mining history once providing a local industry of coal, iron, lead, and stone, it is now an area which provides an array of impressive educational institutions, various delightful eateries and cafes to explore, it's a marvelous base for a family holiday in Shewsbury. For stunning scenery, Earl's Hill is the place to be, with panoramic landscapes and a fabulous range of walking routes, it's well worth the effort for a rewarding view at the end. Just a short drive away is the county town of Shewsbury, with an 11th-century castle and military museum, along with the Shewsbury Abbey and museum displaying ancient relics, it's a wonderful place to immerse yourself with history and knowledge. The Hawkstone Park Follies is just one of many other stunning sights, an enchanting diversity of natural sandstone hills surrounded by gullies, caves, towers, and bridges, there's a world of adventure within these scenic acres, not forgetting activities for all the family to get involved in including enchanting trails, storytelling, and not forgetting to stop for a tea break in the Glass House Tearooms overlooking the lands; the perfect end to an action-packed day. Pontesbury is in a fabulous location for exploring the surrounding lands of Shropshire, a quaint and quiet village surrounded by an abundance of activity.
