Photos did not really do the property justice.. Downstairs was much bigger than we expected. Dishwasher was available but not listed. These are only minor points. A really good property. It was a pity that we could only have virtual conversations with the owner, but Sue was very helpful when we had queries

Lovely cottage that was bigger than we expected and beautifully maintained.. Everything you could need and bonus was the lovely garden that was a sun trap of a morning and great for our children to run around whilst secure for our dog.

It was a very pleasant surprise to walk into Rose cottage and find that the pictures do not do it justice.. it is bigger than we had thought and has a lovely, cosy feel. The welcome pack was a treat and even had a little something for our dog, Milo. All the cooking utensils that we needed were provided and the books were well used as the weather wasn't the best. Dinner at the Falcon in Great Tew (a beautiful village) was fine although beware the starters, for us they were enormous! The location is excellent for visiting the many places of interest in the area. Boughton-on-the-Water model village and miniatures exhibition are well worth a visit as, of course, is Oxford. There are so may places to see and enjoy within less than an hour, and plenty to keep one occupied even in bad weather. All in all we had a lovely week at Rose Cottage and came back relaxed and refreshed; we will be back!

Everything you needed for a stay away from home was there for us, including some extra goodies for us and the doggies, The facilities were endless for every meal to be cooked, extra blankets on beds not that we needed them as house with or without the wood burner lit was lovely and warm, seating was comfortable, there are books, games, DVDs which we made full use of.. The garden was fully enclosed and secure for our small dogs so it was even more relaxing when letting them out for a late-night and early morning wee without putting them on a lead and standing outside with them. All in all a lovely cottage, well maintained, hopefully, we will book again soon, but next time we won't need to pack so much. (just clothes)

Rose Cottage was perfect in every way, the cottage was spotless, very comfortable, great location, couldn’t fault anything, full credit to the owners everything was in the cottage you would need for a first class vacation.. Would highly recommend a stay.

Very spacious living/dining room and good facilities in kitchen .. Dishwasher a bonus - nice welcome pack as well. Great central heating but boiler a bit noisy if in double room directly above it. Generally very clean - a few dog hairs downstairs (not a problem to me) .TV sound could be better : a previous guest had turned bass up to max but still wasn't any!

Good location with easy access to sites of interest.. Everything we needed was provided. Tesco delivered our weekly shop without issue, and fridge freezer more than adequate for all the shopping. The cottage stayed amazingly warm and the heating hardly ever ran other than for water. We have an Alaskan Malimute that loved staying out in the garden. It was a sun trap in the morning and we enjoyed sitting out with a book and coffee.

This was a very comfortable well equipped cottage.. The welcome pack was very generous and even included some nice treats for our dogs which we thought was very kind. It is a good base for exploring the Cotswolds and we would recommend it. One tiny improvement we would suggest, fix the bathroom door so it closes. We had to wedge a towel underneath it everytime we used the loo.

Lovely, cosy cottage in a great location for exploring.. We had fantastic weather so the garden was an added bonus to sit in whilst the children played. On arrival we were met with a lovely welcome pack of milk, biscuits, cake, chocolates and wine- much appreciated.

This is a lovely development of holiday cottages, quite private from the owners property, but they are there if you need them.. The people staying in the other two cottages were very nice which we appreciated, as you are on top of one another so to speak. We arrived to a generous welcome pack, wine, chocolates, cake, dog treats, plus coffee tea & milk so we could have a cuppa on arrival, as our Sainsbury's delivery would not be arriving until a bit later. Lovely flowers on the table also. Although surrounded by lovely countryside it is well placed for a quick drive down to Chipping Norton, the Aldi there is very handy. Great Tew is just down the road but we would not have walked there as all on the lane and cars did seem to drive quite fast along there. Also you can get to Broadway Tower (a must), and all the North Cotswold towns easily. Whichford Pottery is nearby. As regards cottage, it's very nicely fitted out, comfortable furnishings, very good appliances. The twin bedroom would benefit from some hooks to hang clothes on, had to use door frames and handles. Altogether a successful week.

Enjoyed our stay at rose cottage so much we will definitely try and return in the summer so we may have a better chance of the weather being on our side.. The cottage is beautiful everything you need is provided. Only needed to bring groceries. Gorgeous little welcome pack with something for everyone even the dog was there on our arrival. Easy check in and out. Quite easy to find. Lovely area and surrounding villages. We went to visit family but wish we were staying longer so we could do more exploring. The only down side for me was on one morning we were woken up early by builders on the building site and the boiler was really loud even when the thermostat was not on. The builders were only there once so it wasn't an issue after that. I would recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to visit the Cotswolds and we will try to return if the owners will have us xx

Rose Cottage was all that we expected and more.. The welcome pack on arrival was unexpected but a lovely touch. We had chocolates, cake, wine, flowers and also a pack of dog treats so our dog was not left out. Amazed at all the items included such as tea, coffee, sugar, milk, washing powder and dishwasher tablets. These extras made everything great and we hope to be able to book the cottage again.

November 2017
A welcoming touch to have a bottle of wine and goodies waiting for us on arrival.. Would be great to have some more staples like cooking oil (we bought some and left it there). This is a general comment for most cottages. Well equipped kitchen. Overall, a lovely cottage, clean and comfortable and would recommend.

Rose Cottage was a delightful place to stay, although slightly challenging to find as we were approaching it from the opposite direction to those given in the details! The cottage was well-equipped and comfortable and we received a warm welcome. Food in the local pub was too fancy for my taste but we found a great place in Enstone, about 4 miles away, called The Artyard Cafe, where the food was simpler but excellent and good value. We were within easy reach of Blenheim Palace, where there was a very good Christmas Craft Fair that we thoroughly enjoyed despite some miserable weather! Would recommend Rose Cottage, either for a weekend break like ours or for a longer stay.

The only recommendations we had for the owner was, curtains to the back double bedroom window and a mirror would have been useful in the same bedroom.. Great base for visiting the local surroundings and some great books provided for some local walks.
