May 2023
We first stayed at The Cart Shed for a week in March 2022, we then spent a week in the attached Granary, it felt so much like home, that we returned for another week in October 2022. Now, May 2023 we are enjoying another visit and a family member also booked time at the attached Granary. To say that we love our stays here would be an understatement. The Cart Shed is a wonderful combination of modern luxury with character. Heated floors mean you are never cold. The amazing windows let in so much light and the kitchen is beyond well equipped. On the ground floor, there is a small double room, a small twin room and a well appointed shower/toilet room (rain shower) along with full washer and dryer. There is a small winding staircase that leads to a spacious second floor with twin beds, plenty of lounging room and another full bathroom, complete with soaking tub, but no stand up shower. Back downstairs, there is a large living/ kitchen area. Outside there are places to sit, woodlands to explore, a treehouse and small zip line. You need a car, but Witney is a short drive away with lots of shops and places to eat. Witney is small, but has everything you could need and plenty of free parking. Oxford is easy to visit and The Cart Shed is a terrific base for exploring the beautiful Cotswolds. There are also regular busses to London from Oxford and Windsor is an easy day trip. The soaps at The Cart Shed are true luxury-oh and if you have an electric car, you can charge it right outside. We love that there are always flowers, chocolate, milk and eggs to welcome us. We grew up in the UK but live in the USA, so when we visit, having a home where we can relax with family and long lost friends is perfect. Spotlessly clean too - Thank you for our wonderful stays.

We will write a more complete review soon, but we had to just say now and in the moment that The Cart Shed is the most serine, beautiful, warm and welcoming place you could visit - This gem will hold a place in our hearts forever…

We got ahead of the staycation rush and booked here many months ago, wew were not disappointed, the owner and family were bothe helpful, friendly as were the neighbours. It was a lovely setting, the facilities were what we required, spacious for our family, dog friendly, quiet yet a great location to have as a base to visit surrounding villages & towns. A relaxing stay and would certainly return again.
