The cottage would suit a couple looking for a quiet, romantic getaway with a raft of local attractions to visit within easy reach and there are plenty of local walking and cycling routes to explore and a good, local golf course if you are looking to have a more active holiday! Rothbury attracts visitors from all over the world during the year and offers a great range of independent shops, arts and crafts, good pubs serving food and cafes and plays host to a number of events including the Walking Festival in June and the well renowned Music Festival in July. Staying at Hotspur Cottage, you can have the best of all worlds from exploring the Simonside Hills, The Cheviots, The Northumberland National park - with its award winning Dark Skies status, Cragside Hall and Gardens, Alnwick Castle and The Alnwick Gardens to the glorious seaside villages of Alnmouth, Bamburgh and Seahouses, to name but a few.
