Situated in the quiet village Cresswell with a beautiful beach, mostly sand and dunes, a beautiful rocky part on one side, you find this gem of holiday appartment in en enclosed garden, so perfect for families with a dog. The house itself is cosy and offers all you need from a dishwasher to a washing machine. Russ and Sue, the owners, made sure we had a fabulous time, they are absolutely friendly, always giving tips of what to do and where to go. We found a yummy cake made by Sue when we arrived and other goodies, there was powder for the dishwasher, soap, coffee, sugar, ... We honestly have never had such a service before, plus we love a quiet surrounding. The only thing you could hear in the night were the waves. You could even see the sea from some windows and the door. If you would like to,go somewhere for nice food, we can recommend The Drift Cafe which is in Cresswell as well, we went there five times during our stay, yummy and again dog-friendly. It was a shame we had left ours at home. Not too far is Amble and if you have a young one like us, crabbing at the harbour is a great thing to do. Thank you again for treating us as guests not customers, we felt absolutely welcome.

Super accommodation in the grounds of owners property. Neatly tucked away at the bottom of the garden & completely private. Located in a peaceful unspoilt Hamlet on the Northumberland Coast with beach and coastal path 2 minute walk from the property. There is lots to do in the area with or without a vehicle. Super clean, cosy, well equipped and super Dog friendly. The hosts are lovely and friendly and obviously take great pride in what they offer. I have stayed in countless self catering properties in the UK and abroad and very few can be described as faultless, especially those that will accommodate pets. This property is a ‘Gem’ & in my opinion ‘Faultless’. I feel lucky to have found it and look forward to another visit.

Great accommodation and it's location across the road from a fabulous miles long stretch of clean sandy beach added so much to our pleasure.. Just paradise for the dog too. Loads of great places to eat out within short travelling distance. Loved it all.

We had a brilliant week away at Aurora Skies! The description couldn’t have been more accurate. We woke to beautiful sea views every morning from our private garden which our dog loved pottering around in. The beach was a 5 minute stroll with a fab little ice cream shop on the way. The lodge was incredibly clean and catered for all our needs. We will definitely re-visit! 5*!

This little lodge in cresswell village definitely met our expectations , the lodge was very nice , fully equipped with everything you needed, the hosts sue and Russ were very welcoming and when we arrived sue had made us some homemade cookies and milk in the fridge.. the beach was virtually across the road and what a beach it is , beautiful , we were fortunate enough to have had the sunshine so we saw everything at its best . I would highly recommend this holiday lodge , we will definitely be returning. we took our small dog and it was brilliant having a enclosed garden for bobby to play out .Northumberland is such a beautiful place and so much to see and do .

Appreciated the accurate description of closeness to the sea, sometimes a 2 minute walk means 20 minutes! It was a lovely peaceful location and very private accommodation.

Welcoming and hospitality by Sue was second to none, absolute peace and tranquillity with sea views and only a short walk to wonderful sandy beaches. The cabin is spacious and well equipped with everything you need and more, private and enclosed garden to enjoy the sunshine without having to worry about pet dog or young kids wondering off. Short drive to major amenities, highly recommend .

Aurora Skies is a nice compact wooden lodge which meets all the basic needs for a holiday base.. It is comfortable and well equipped, quiet and private. The owners are welcoming but do not intrude on your privacy. While it maybe a little small for four adults it is OK for two adults with children and our dog loved the surroundings. Ideal as a base for going out to explore Northumbria it is also ideally situated to go on the beach across the quiet road. All in all anice place to stay

Spent an amazing week here with my wife, daughter (3yr old) and son (5 months). The cabin itself is finished amazingly well and to a very high standard and has more than enough sleeping, living and dining space to accommodate the 'max' allowed. It's great that it has its own large private garden area for the kids to play in and can't wander off (my daughter may even have stolen a few raspberries from the bush!!) We were able to walk to the beach on a whim and had plenty of days out to the local towns etc. The owners and their daughter are such warm, friendly people who made us very welcome and the small touches such as milk in the fridge and cake on arrival (as well as the tea and coffee!) made us feel very much at home! We felt that the stay was great value for money and wouldn't hesitate to return!!
