This village is perfectly located as a base to explore the magnificent unspoilt Northumberland coastline, castles, and countryside, stroll to the nearby gastro pub of an evening to enjoy dinner and drinks.

The medieval town of Berwick Upon Tweed and the picture postcard seaside village of Bamburgh with its magnificent castle, glorious sandy beaches and delightful independent shops, bars and restaurants (4 miles) are close at hand. Walk to Seahouses Harbour (7 miles) along the coastal path for a boat trip to the Farne Islands and spot the many bird species, including puffins in the breeding season and, of course, lovable seals.
