What a great place to stay.. The cottage is immaculate and beautifully situated in a quiet location. Very comfortable and spacious with everything needed for the perfect stay. It was ideally placed for access to Bamburgh (stunning), Anwick, Berwick on Tweed to list but a few. Try Cocklawburn beach for beautiful scenery, lovely coastline and a bit of fossiling! Make sure you stock up on food etc as there is only a small local shop with limited choice, but handy when you run out of the essentials. We had a lovely meal at the local pub, The Apple Inn, which is also dog friendly, so an added bonus for us. We would highly recommend this property.

On a general note we were not impressed with Sykes Cottages response to the Coronavirus and it would not give us much faith in using this agency for future bookings even though we have used Sykes before.. We were lucky enough to be able to go on this holiday but the handling of the situation has given your company very bad press. Vicarage Cottage was welcoming and spacious - we felt as though it had been thoroughly cleaned prior to our stay. Welcome tea, milk and cake was provided, and changes of towels and bedding for our two week stay. Communication with the owner regarding arrival instructions etc was clear and helpful. The cottage is well located for visiting the local area and there are many beaches, castles and other attractions within an easy drive. The neighbouring property has donkeys living behind that we enjoyed feeding the odd carrot! The location was extremely peaceful. If you enjoy visiting historical places it's worth joining English Heritage as there are loads of their venues in the area. There is a pub/restaurant a moments walk across the road and an even nicer one only a few minutes drive away at Warenford.

Cottage was comfortable, roomy, well appointed and spotlessly clean.. The attention to detail was first class. Would certainly return to this cottage. Well enclosed outdoor space, no worries about the dog getting out. Very easy to get to from the A1 and good base for traveling around.

Fiona the host was really helpful and reassuring given the uncertain times.. The cottage was spotless and we noticed a lot of attention to detail. Fresh flowers and pot plants show care and brings the place alive for guests. Very comfy beds. The whole place was well insulated so I expect a winter visit would be just as enjoyable. Excellent location for accessing coast. Top marks!

From the moment we walked in we had a good feel about the property.. It was very welcoming, plenty of space yet felt cosy. The location is good in a quiet village and has an enclosed secluded garden. The local pub and a good restaurant are within easy walking distance The stay was so enjoyable and we rebooked for another stay in a few months time.

The cottage was very clean and comfortable.. The homemade cake and milk in the fridge when we arrived were much appreciated. The location is very convenient for trips to Holy Island, Berwick, Bamburgh, Seahouses and Alnwick. The only small grumble (nothing to do with the property itself) was that the local footpaths in and around Lucker are very over grown which meant the only option for early and late dog walks was along the road.

Amazing cottage in an ideal location! Quality fittings and appliances that met all our needs. Lovely lady who answered all my questions before we arrived. The album in the cottage that shows the renovations really shows the hard work put in.... Really will be coming back! Thank you

The photos of this property do not do it justice as it is much larger than it appears.. Lucker is an ideal location if you want to visit all the stunning beaches along this coast. My dog loved the holiday as much as we did as the beaches are very dog friendly! If we visit this area again will certainly choose Vicarage Cottage.

My mother in law booked this cottage for our stay in Northumberland. It is very spacious, modern, light and airy. The kitchen was fairly well equipped but could have done with a pizza cutter, considering the local take away for pizza! The majority of the cottage was clean when we arrived but the kitchen surfaces had not been thoroughly wiped down and the fridge freezer was in desperate need of a defrosting. Aside from that, we loved our stay here in the quiet village of Lucker.

Just spent a week in Vicarage Cottage and the cottage more than made up for the poor weather. In a good location for visiting the surrounding area, the cottage is very well equipped, lovely comfortable sofas and beds, beautiful scenery - but beware eating at the local...service was very slow!! All in all a lovely holiday cottage - definitely in our top 3 holiday accommodations, highly recommended.

Vicarage cottage is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. It has been refurbished recently, and it has been done so well. It is so cosy and such a restful place to stay. We had only six nights here and honestly it was not enough. The cottage is in such a good position for all the wonderful and interesting places to visit in this area. Bamburgh , which is only 4 miles away is one of the most beautiful and outstanding beaches I have ever seen, with the shadow of a stunning castle overlooking the sand. Everything was provided by the owners, and I would recommend this very pretty place to anyone.
