The hamlet, which serves as Alnwick's port today, is located on a small peninsula jutting out into the North Sea and River Aln. Today, the region has reverted to its natural state and offers a good selection of stores, bars, and eateries in addition to a fantastic "links" golf course, some fantastic rivers for fishing, and miles and miles of magnificent beaches and sand dunes to explore with breathtaking views of the North Sea.
