The property’s central location is ideal for exploring the Northumbrian Coastline, Market Towns and beautiful countryside. Amble, also known as the friendliest port, is a small fishing town with a huge personality. Nestled on the Northumberland coast, it's an excellent base for a holiday in our beautiful county. Take a boat trip from the bustling harbour to Coquet Island, a RSPB nature reserve located just off the coast, and see the colourful puffins, rare roseate terns and appealing grey seals. Back on dry land, stroll around the attractive harbour shopping pods selling bespoke and unusual gifts and why not sample the culinary delights of freshly caught seafood straight from the sea. Area
Amble, a bustling small harbour at the River Coquet's mouth, is a great starting point for exploring Northumberland. In addition to sandy beaches, a marina, a harbour, and coastal hikes to the bird sanctuary at Hauxley and the national park at Druridge Bay, Amble, once a centre for boatbuilding, offers all of these amenities. A variety of fish, prawns, crabs, and lobsters are landed by the large fishing boats that are moored around the harbour wall. On the side of the harbour is a fish centre that sells local fish and is available to the public. It is currently mostly a shellfish hatchery to restock levels of lobster and other shellfish. Coquet Island, an RSPB reserve with a sizable population of terns, puffins, and eider ducks, is located one mile south of Amble. Boat tours around the island can be booked. A short drive will take you to attractive Alnwick with its castle and award-winning gardens, charming Warkworth with its castle, and the National Trust's Wallington Hall and Cragside, in addition to a number of excellent beaches and charming coastal villages.
