Area The ancient village of Cowling sits across a hillside in the Pennine Hills, just seven miles from the market town of Skipton. A thriving village, built along a main high street with stone-built, terraced houses set alongside the mills of a bygone age. The village was once sparsely populated, the bulk of the population living in Ickornshaw and Middleton, and before that on Cowling Hill, close to water sources they depended on, and the main roads of the day - now used as back roads by locals to avoid the modern day traffic. In the early days, agriculture was the main occupation, with corn being grown and ground within the village. When canal transport boomed, corn became cheaper to buy from elsewhere and so the mills in Cowling turned from grinding corn to weaving during the Industrial Revolution. The village inn was once part of a farmhouse on Cowling Hill, but was sold as changes to the structure of the village began. The son of the landlord later opened the Bay Horse Hotel on the new road, which still stands as a main feature of village life.
Region From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?

We have returned to Pinnacle View for the 3rd time, what can I say, the most amazing time again due to facilities on offer. We have celebrated a 40th, 50th and 70th in this house and it caters for all. Hot tub, games room and cinema room! The afternoon tea Sharon provided was just fabulous and added that extra touch to the whole weekend. Thank you again, and we will be back again.

We have just returned home from an amazing weekend at Pinnacle View (10 ladies celebrating a 40th birthday) . The space and what it has to offer is fantastic with the hot tub, games room and cinema room.
Sharon was an amazing host the extra touches such as balloons, cake and wine were lovely.
It was really clean and really was home from home. The pub and bistro nearby were really welcoming. We enjoyed it so much we have booked for next year for my mums 70th.

We were lucky to be able to spend 6 nights at the pinnacle view accommodation after Christmas with our family.
The house is beautifully laid out with 5 large bedrooms a cinema room with a Juliette balcony with amazing views over to the pinnacle. A large kitchen with all the utensils you could ask for along with a 10 seater dining table and relaxing area with comfortable settees and tv which had sky which my son in laws enjoyed !
Outside is a fabulous hot tub again with superb views overlooking fields and hillsides leading to the pinnacle.
On the ground floor is a games room which our grandchildren absolutely loved.
There were so many walks around the area along with Haworth and skipton on the doorstep.
However what made this so special was the owner Sharon who couldn’t do enough to make sure we had a fabulous time. Her hosting skills are second to non and included setting the table to a high standard before we arrived leaving Prosecco cakes and even getting cup cakes delivered.
Prior to arrival Sharon also sent details of walks so we could make the most of our time there.
I would recommend the pinnacle view to anybody we had a fantastic time and will definitely be back.

We stayed for 4 days for my birthday the house was very clean and there was everything you could possibly want the owner went above and beyond to make our stay special by trimming the dining room to leaving special gifts. I could recommend this home to anyone as it even had a games room with full size snooker table also had 2 lounges so plenty of room for all ages I would definitely rate it a 10 out of 10 xxxx

The games room, sky tv, WiFi and hot tub were great facilities for our 4 teenage boys and exceeded expectations.. The house was spacious and well equipped and it was a great base for discovering the surrounding areas. There was a lovely welcome gift of Prosecco on ice and a cake which was very much appreciated. We had an issue with the washing machine while we were there but the owner dealt with this promptly and it was fixed within 24hours. Communication with the owner before and during our stay was excellent.
The were a few items that would’ve been helpful in the kitchen (colander for draining pasta, fish slice for frying pan, glass Prosecco glasses etc) and direct access to the garden from the street would’ve been helpful when bringing home a muddy dog after a long walk. The double bed in the triple room with en-suite was very uncomfortable but manageable for a week.
Overall, this house worked very well for us as a family of 6 with a dog and we would definitely consider staying again.

The house was fantastic, gave us the location, the space, the facilities and the atmosphere we wanted to celebrate my mum's 80th birthday.. What took it that additional step further was the owner, Sharon. I had let her know it was a special occasion and asked for her help in getting a cake and flowers. She did this and made the most amazing afternoon tea for on arrival.
Would highly recommend this for a holiday or special occasion. So many fabulous places around about, the hot tub to relax in in the evenings and an owner who really cares about your experience in her property.

Just returned home after an absolutely fantastic long weekend break away with friends at Pinnacle View.. Correspondence with the owner prior to arriving was super-friendly and very welcoming. Sharon had also provided some lovely chocolate cupcakes and a bottle of Cava, as well as setting the table ready for our arrival. The house itself is beautiful - a stone-clad, four storey building with a great view of the hillside and ridge. The bedrooms were comfy and facilities were good. We enjoyed using the hot tub as well. We visited nearby Ilkley to do some shopping, and on the Saturday night went for a meal at The Emmott Arms in Coyne - which we would thoroughly recommend. Some of us climbed up to the top of the ridge, which was a bracing 50 minute walk up to the top with lovely views when you got there. We've had a very relaxing weekend. Thank you Sharon for a fab stay. We would recommend this property to other larger groups.

Sharon is a fantastic host, went above and beyond to make our stay a brilliant one, excellent communication before and during our stay.. The only thing I would suggest to alter is the 1st line address on the listing, we got a taxi while we were there and it went to the wrong address, as there is another pinnacle view just down the road, so had to ask for Acre road. Not a negative impact though, just a suggestion.
Would definitely recommend to book for families and groups alike!

Absolutely amazing weekend in this beautiful house! We went for my partners 30th birthday and on arrival the host had made the downstairs dining area beautiful with banners, prosecco, beer and cup cakes! Really spacious, clean and hot tub was fantastic! Really recommend to anyone. Great location and the host was lovely to be in contact with. 10/10!

Absolutely amazing cottage, perfect for a reunion with my University friends! ! The host is fabulous, very attentive and makes sure your holiday is the best it can be. We spent most of our time drinking prosecco in the hot tub, but the area is perfect for walking/exploring (even in the snow)! Plus there's a pub 5 minutes away and another one about a 20 minute walk away, everything that we needed. I couldn't reccomend this property enough, in fact I'm returning in June it was that good!!

The house was perfect for us as a group of 4 young couples.. We spent most of our time in the awesome hot tub and downstairs kitchen/lounge. There was everything we needed and more. Lovely views out over the fields.
Our host was great, got in touch with lots of information, answered all of my many questions from room layout to local knowledge of pubs. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

What a great place! Myself and 9 others stayed for the New Years period and enjoyed every minute. The hot tub was fantastic and the house had everything we needed. The two different living rooms to socialise were perfect for what we needed and the guys loved having the sky sports and the girls loved having a spearate place to socialise away from the football!
The host was amazing and provided everything and more that we could have wanted.
The village the house is in has a cute little pub that is welcoming, serves delicious meals and cheap food and there’s a little shop too.
I would recommend this place to anyone who asks and will definitely be coming back!

This was family christmas get away to Pinnacle View and the house did not disappoint. The house is ideal for socialising with a big group due to the two large living spaces with ample seating and the hot tub was a perfect addition. The 4 seperate storeys of the house were ideal for us having small children as we put the children to bed on the top floor and then we would stay up and play games and have drinks on bottom floor and the children werent disturbed. There are plenty of days out for kids nearby we went on a Santa Train Experience on the Bolton Abbey Railway and to Stump Cross Caverns and Caves all within 30 minutues of the house.I would definatley stay at this house again. The owner is also very attentive and seems to have thought of eveeything you might need in the house during your stay.

I just wanted to say thank you, your house is lovely and speaking on behalf of us all that came we really enjoyed being altogether under one fantastic roof. We pretty much spent most of our time in the downstairs lounge/ dining area when we were in the house but it was lovely to have a little escape lounge upstairs with the gorgeous views. Although we were in the area for a wedding, we did venture out to the local friendly pubs and a few went on a nice walk on the monday before leaving. We all absolutely loved the Cupcakes and Prosecco. It really made our arrival special and we would be sure to recommend the place to friends and family. Thank you Sharon!

Had the most gorgeous week at Pinnacle View. The house is beautiful and has everything you could possibly need for a week, and a whole heap of extra things that made it special(chilled prosecco on arrival for example)
We had a great day out at Ingleton Falls, and would recommend Clip and Climb at Ilkley for children 6-12, although my 15 year old also enjoyed it. Ripley castle does a brilliant survival skills morning, or orienteering quiz/quest which the children loved. We had fun on my sons birthday at Billy Bobs, though worth booking in advance.
Sharon, the owner couldn't be more accommodating and was really helpful when we were planning our trip, taking time to answer many questions and sent links to really useful sites.

I stayed here to celebrate my 30th birthday along with 9 friends. The house was amazing and perfect for what we wanted.
The communal spaces are great for eating, drinking and having a catch up! We were given the option of double or twin rooms and everything was set up as we requested when we arrived. The beds were so comfy and the bedrooms immaculate!
The fabulous owner had left us a bottle of prosecco and a birthday cake to enjoy which was such a lovely touch!
(She even offered to come and find us and help us out when we broke down a few miles away from the house!)
The local area was lovely. Fantastic scenery and walks and We had a gorgeous afternoon tea at Luby's tea room (5 minute drive) and a spa day at the coniston hotel (25 minute drive)
I feel this accommodation would also be great for families or groups with children, so I Am looking to book again next year for a family trip.

Booked for a group of uni friends, 9 of us in total, one couple. Asked in advance for several double beds to be unziplinked into two singles and this was done, so everyone got their own bed with max 2 sharing a room. Maximum there are 8 separate beds with two doubles. Everyone got a big and small towel on their bed. Bathrooms on all but one of the four floors, plenty for our use.
Two big communal spaces, both with big TVs, one we used for cooking and playing games, the other more cozy upstairs ones we used to watch movies and play games. Hot tub was sweeeet, with a floating food/drink tray and robes provided!
Wifi available and allowed us to stream movies so no complaints there. :)
The host was incredibly friendly and waited for us with the key (even though we were a bit late!). Detailed information pack on arrival with info of all local amenities. Convenient shop just a minute's walk away, and a larger coop supermarket about 6mins drive.
The attention to detail was stellar. Little things pushed the experience over the edge into the "amazing" bracket. Free prosecco, wine and cupcakes. Matching fancy hand soap and moisturiser in every bathroom. Every room a consistent theme with curtains, bedding, cushions, etc.
Highly, highly recommended! :D

I booked this accommodation for a relaxing weekend away for a friend's 60th birthday. We had a fantastic weekend. The owner of the property is very attentive and contributes to the personalisation of the event. The property is immaculately clean. The surrounding area is a beautiful location for any tranquil getaway and there are ample walks and the scenery is breathtaking. Nearby are well recommended restaurants, we acquainted the Italian 22 on The Square which did not disappoint, the coctail bar is a must. I would highly recommend this property.
