We thoroughly enjoyed our short time in Pateley Bridge.. The cottage provided nothing that we didn’t need and everything that we did. Pateley Bridge is a good base for walkers, hikers and cyclists. The scenery once you are out of Pateley Bridge is stunning. Great short stay and good value.

Please let the landlord know that the extractor fan is not working in the bathroom.. this is not a complaint just something to be aware of.

Great location and lovely property - really enjoyed our stay.. Great walks nearby and good location for any park runners wanting to do Fountains Abbey. The parking area was always full so we parked in nearby street which was fine.

I read some criticisms of the property before arrival but found them to be overly harsh.. The property is well maintained, clean and very comfortable. It was a perfect base for us being out and about every day. If we were expecting to stay around the property for our break we probably wouldn't have booked that one due to no outside space or natural light downstairs but that's the nature of the property not a criticism. Hosts were very helpful.

A couple of little niggles ,main standard reading lamp no bulb, some if ceiling .... A couple of little niggles ,main standard reading lamp no bulb, some if ceiling light bulbs needed replacing, could also do with new cooker top, but these were only minor points, but feel we won’t be booking that cottage again lounge very dark , and court yard at front very noisy but overall a warm and comfortable place

The cottage had very difficult stairs narrow tred with a bend near the top, should have been mentioned in description, if it had we wouldn't have booked it, also lack of natural light on the ground floor the one and only window is under a very wide arch, we had to have lights on even on the sunnies of days, the cottage is ok if you use it for just sleeping.. Outlook from one and only ground floor window is the other cottages bins, I could have sat and looked at bins at home!!

For someone on holiday I thought everything was comfy.. We didn't expect to spend our time cooking so didn't get round to using the stove. The unit is certainly in a great location with everything you need close at hand.I was a bit disappointed there was no washing machine seeing as I was there for two weeks. However I found a friendly laundry man just over the bridge so all was ok.All in all a pleasant experience and I would come back again.Bert

I would highly recommend No 5 The Stables.. The cottage is really homely, beautifully kept with everything you need for a brilliant holiday home. The location is fabulous as you are so close to all the shops, cafes & pubs. We were out walking everyday, with lots of walks starting & finishing in Pateley Bridge. We did Brimham Rocks and Malham Cove and Grassington - definitely must dos. A visit to the walk shop (a few doors away) to buy some walk books was the best thing we did. All in all a fabulous cottage in the best location - everything you need to have an amazing holiday.

A thoughtfully furnished and equipped cottage with quality furniture and fittings with an abundant supply of towels and throws and comfortable beds.. We had ample space and being close to all the small shops in the High street such as the bakery just across the yard was a bonus. Loved it.

Unfortunately although this cottage was in a good location it was disappointed to find the description inaccurate.. There was no courtyard furniture as stated in the details so nowhere to sit outside. There was hardly any natural light downstairs so needed to have lights on all the time. NO hairdryer or washing machine and the electric hob was really dirty and saucepans rusty. Cobwebs everywhere downstairs. And the hob looked like it was being held in position with blue tack which was also a dirt trap.

Loved this cottage - ideally suited for walking & Pateley Bridge has everything you could need - sofas not as pictured but much more comfy, bed was very comfortable, plenty of hot water & heaters were nice & warm.. ..throws were a nice touch. Downstairs loo was handy. Pans had seen better days but very adequate, very happy with the cottage.

The cottage was lovely and the owner is very nice.. However, we had to buy our own toilet roll, hand soap as the one they left was pretty much empty and bin bags which was quite annoying as I would have expected to have some in there. I got over it quite quickly though! Other than that, everything was amazing! I would definitely stay again.

This is a great cottage located in the middle of Pateley Bridge, with everything you need within 5 minutes walk.. For walkers it is perfect for doing the Nidderdale trail and Brimham Rocks which we did and other great walks. I would recommend the cottage to anyone who wants to spend some time in the Dales.

The Stables was ideally placed in a charming little town. The cottage itself was very clean, quiet and comfortable. Contact with the owners was very responsive and positive.

Being so well positioned was great, less than a minutes walk to the pub, shop, tearoom etc. A very cosy cottage which had everything we needed.

This cottage is so convenient for everything - eating places, bakers, butchers and all the shops, buses, etc. within a few yards. Great to be able to go out at night for a meal and have a drink - and not have to drive.

This is the most comfortable cottage we have stayed in, and we highly recommend it. It is wonderfully clean, the décor is simple and attractive, and the equipment and furnishings are all that we needed for our week. It is a warm and cosy cottage which is ideal for a small family. We loved staying in the cottage, and hope to stay there again in the future! The owners are friendly and helpful too.

Ideally situated cottage just off the main high street. Central for all shops, restaurants and pubs. Great walks from the doorstep. Lovely and clean accommodation with fabulously comfortable bed to fall into at night.

We loved the attention to detail, pictures and blinds plus colour scheme. We have stayed in five star accommodation which was similar, and would say that there really is not that much of a difference. Good central position for visiting the attractions too!
