What a great location and wonderfully appointed cottage. We visited with our 2 boys (6 and 10) and had a great week. Highly recommended.

Dales Cottage is located in Linton Falls just a short distance from Grassington. The cottage is comfortable, cosy, very nicely furnished, spotlessly clean and has parking, which is a definite plus. The owner had kindly left cake and wine - neither of which lasted too long. Cooking was an experience as no-one was AGA-proficient, but by the end of the week we had mastered the basics and were proud of our accomplishments. If you are thinking of visiting the area and looking for accommodation, you wouldn't regret booking Dales Cottage! During our visit we experienced the fun and entertainment of the 40's weekend which was an unexpected surprise, visited Bolton Abbey (tiptoed across the stepping stones) and took advantage of the excellent bus service to spend a day in Skipton. All in all our week was excellent. The weather was fantastic, we had some wonderful walking both up and down Wharfedale, visited some lovely village pubs and generally made the most of what is possible the 'end of summer'.

This is a lovely warm, comfortable cottage which happily accommodated a family of 5 and one dog. Amazing Dales walks from the door - beautiful Linton Falls, Linton Church & Village, Grassington. 10 min walk from The Hedgerow cafe & florist in Threshfield who serve delicious coffee, crumpets and off course cake! 5 min walk to The Fountaine Inn @ Linton. The cottage is very well equipped throughout and I would highly recommend.

The cottage is in an idyllic location, just two minutes walk away from beautiful, quiet, unspoilt countryside.. Don't be put off by the lack of garden, because the surroundings more than compensate. We spent hours walking and exploring in the great outdoors. The house itself is cosy and welcoming with wonderfully comfy beds, plenty of space for relaxing, lovely bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen. Cooking with the Aga was a real novelty that we really enjoyed. The village of Grassington is a short walk away, where you'll find an assortment of shops and eateries. The Retreat Tearoom did an amazing vegan menu and the Indian Restaurant Rozi's was friendly and accommodating. We loved our week away and would highly recommend Dales Cottage.

The beds in the loft room are children's beds which meant my grown up son did not sleep well.. This needs to be made clear in the description of the facilities. Most of the windows in the cottage could not be opened which bad as we were in a heat wave. these need to be fixed

Great location for walking.. Quiet, free parking outside. Extremely well equipped house with 3 good sized bedrooms, one on suite. Choice of aga or gas cooker for cooking with good range of kitchen equipment. There is no garden but a bench at the side of the house which catches the afternoon sun.

The cottage was excellent.. It always makes a difference when the beds, bedding and towels are of good quality and these couldn't be faulted. A welcoming cake and supply of milk was a lovely personal touch from the owner. The quality of the furnishings were excellent and the place on a whole was very cosy. Its location was perfect for anyone who likes walking, a 10 minute walk in to Grassington and a lovely pub in Linton.

We had a wonderful holiday, Dales cottage is really lovely and comfortable and the owner Sophie made us very welcome, on arrival we found milk, fizz and a delicious cake in the kitchen.. Comfy beds, lovely bathrooms, a brilliant kitchen, our dog loved sleeping by the Agra and also by the fire in the cosy living room. The cottage is in a perfect location next to beautiful Linton falls and lots of wonderful walks from the door step. One of our favourite walks was 10mins into Grassington, past the waterfalls and stunning scenery and many lambs and sheep. Grassington itself has lots of places to eat and drink. We loved our holiday.

Stayed there for a week after Easter and had an amazing time. The cottage is located just outside of Grassington, which is a great place full of cafes and nice shops and pubs, it’s also close to Threshfield which has a petrol station and Spar. Located by Linton Falls, it’s literally 2 minutes from a spectacular series of waterfalls and amazing walks across the beautiful sales. Accommodation is very comfy with an aga, a wood burner and all mod cons like wifi, dvd and Bluetooth audio. Recently developed the rooms are lovely especially the bathrooms which are fantastic. Host was excellent and very generous with a gift on arrival which was very kind. Highly recommended!

Dales cottage was lovely.. Arrived to find a lovely bottle of prosecco, fruit cake and big bag of kettle crisps which had been left for us which we didn’t expect. Lovely family size kitchen with AGA cooker which kept the cottage warm. Cozy living room with log burner. We bought our own logs/kindling/firefighters etc but didn’t really need to as there was plenty there already. Loads of dvds and games for the kids and books on the local area. Master bedroom had an on suite shower/toilet so was perfect for us as we were sharing cottage with my parents. The main bathroom was situated right next to their bedroom so we didn’t have any queues of a morning. There was also a downstairs toilet in the utility room. Our 2 children stayed in the loft room which was spacious and very warm. Didn’t realise that there was a pull out bed under one of the singles so we could have brought my husbands grandson but we’ll know for next time. The fountains pub which is a 2 minute drive away served home cooked food and real ales. We came the 2nd week in December and went to the Dickensian festival on the Saturday and Sunday which is 20 minute walk away. Well worth a visit. Very Christmassy. Lots of carol singing, brass band and candlelight walk at 4pm. The 3 main pubs in the grassington village were very busy because of the festival so we couldn’t get a table during the day but there were plenty of cafes and stalls selling hot food so we weren’t put off. We also went to Haworth which is Brontë Country. 40 min drive away. Well worth a visit and very picturesque as it snowed whilst we were there. Overall we loved the cottage and the Yorkshire Dales. Would definitely recommend. We took our dog buddy and I’m sure he would recommend too.
