For me and my two grandchildren it was just what we wanted.. Nice cottage tucked away in the North Yorkshire Moors with plenty of places to experience. Nth yorks steam railway extremely close a sight certainly worth seeing. The coast not far to travel but above all during this Covid 19 we were self contained and safe. I would certainly recommend this.

Lovely cosy cottage just as described nice & warm despite the blustery weather.. Great location with lots of walks on the doorstep. Enjoyed a lovely Sunday Lunch at the Mallyan Spout Hotel ( recommended by neighbour) As well as the walks we visited Pickering, Whitby & Saltburn by the sea. There is a bit of a detour if the ford is impassable. Would recommend this cottage for a relaxing break. We had a online grocery shop delivered from Sainsburys.

Grosmont is a beautiful place to visit. The cottage, though tedious to get to by road is just a ten minute walk from the village where you can board the fabulous heritage carriages of North Yorkshire Steam Railway. The cottage, whilst cosy, needs some work in the kitchen and bathroom. I have high standards but can cope with lower expectations that holiday let's unfortunately tend to fall to due to the often careless clientele who fail to treat their surroundings as they would at home. The bathroom had mouldy grout and a cracked sink and the kitchen, though fairly well equipped, was very tired with terribly botched decorating and tiling. It is a shame because these cottages are delightful and could remain very proud.

Absolutely gorgeous cottage in a stunningly beautiful location! The cottage itself has everything you could possibly need, we wanted for nothing. Watching the steam trains pass the house is unforgettable, and the view is simply breathtaking. Lovely walks in either direction to Grosmont and Beck Hole, both have great dog friendly pubs with lovely food. We can't wait to come back, maybe in the winter this time so we can make the most of the fab coal fire! Couldn't recommend this cottage or location enough for a holiday in North Yorkshire.
